Latsi Fish tavern — Restaurant in Nicosia

Worst experience I had at a restaurant. The food was of medium quality and does not justify the prices. You can have better quality with almost the same price at other fish tavern in Nicosia (i.e. Pyxida). The staff was very rude and unfriendly. We ordered fish meze and the time difference between each plate serving was about 15 minutes and that could have been longer if I did not keep reminding them politely that we were waiting for the next serving. At a point when they have brought the last plate of the meze, I had to tell them that they did not bring 3 more plates prior to that plate. While this was happening the staff were making gestures with their hands and also did facial expressions that were implying that they were frustrated by us. In addition, at the end there was some fish left and I have asked them if they could put the fish in a tray in order to take it with us. They took the fish to the kitchen and that was the last we have seen of it. I have reminded them twice about the fish but they did not seemed bothered, in fact again they were frustrated. And don't let me start on what happened when they brought us the desert because I could keep writing forever. I have then asked for the bill (again twice) and since they did not bring it, I had to go to the counter...

The last two times we ate here, the food was good. This time we had a horrible experience. Lots of flies. We waited over 40 minutes and they did not bring the meze plates. When we asked where is the food, they had no idea what plates they served and what was remaining. The worst part was the fried calamari. It was dripping oil that had a disgusting smell and was probably used for days. When I told the waiter about the calamari, he and his colleagues were very rude to me! It is a shame that the quality of this restaurant...

We just passed by and decided to have late lunch at Latsi Fish tavern. The staff was friendly and service was fast. We had a salad with olives and takhini with tarama salad as a starters. Very tasty bread and lemons came along with the rest. For the main we ordered grilled octopus and fried baby calamari with hand made popote chips. For desserts we received a complimentary Cyprus style sweets. Even don’t know what it was:) Fair prices for a nice food. Recommend this place...
