Garden Day and Night — Restaurant in Nicosia

One of the worst places we ever went.I don’t know where to start. I went there with my friends to celebrate something. We had a reservation, went on time but we ended up waiting 20 minutes to sit. without explaining or apologising for that.We could tell that there wasn’t enough staff working, but not too many people to serve as well. The service was absolutely horrible. Its very important for a restaurant to have polite waitresses.They were rude from the beginning without a reason, acting like they don’t care.didn’t care and they didn’t know what basic things in the menu. First we got drinks that were from ok to awful. Then we ordered food. No vegeterian options. More than half of the menu wasn’t available,The waitress didn’t warned us before and at the time we were ordering they started saying we dont have anything we wanted to order, or that the dont have specific ingredients to make that food. Then we finally managed to order. waited almost an hour for our foods that came half-cold, was tasteless, of course the portions were very small for their expensive price. We asked for extra sauce, we waited a couple of minutes and it didn’t cane so we asked if they forgot it. They responded with “ we have more tables to serve”. eventually came very late we almost finished our food. and they changed that small sauce. I reminded them that I asked for the bill 2 times. When I went to pay, I was very disappointed. they asked if I want to tip them, I always want to leave a tip ,even if I wasn’t very satisfied with the food I appreciate the people’s service. This time They didn’t worth my tip so I said “no thankyou” and they responded rudely and with a big smile, “sir you’re very janerousfor this”. Do I need to say anything else? the environment was beautiful, but its a place somewhere in the city of Nicosia. Nothing special for their prices. its not next to the beach, it doesn’t have good food, music, servise.Just a horrible experience.Later I learned that they don’t have foods in their menus anymore, It works...

Couple in our 30s came to Nicosia after travelling around Cyprus. This was one of the most beautiful bars we have ever been to but have never felt so unwanted and degraded in a bar. We tried booking online and over the phone after reading about how beautiful it was however was told bookings are not open due to covid, we do not have social media so could not attempt to contact them that way. Arrived at the front desk (and to a pretty much empty restaurant at 8pm) to be questioned about bookings and two men spent a good 10 minutes discussing where to seat us. We were then greeted to a table I'm the far corner, a waiter walked us there with hands in our pockets and didn't explain you press a button for service. Starters and mains arrived all together, which was odd as starters are meant to come first .food was fairly cold. The burger was inedible as it may of made us sick. Not once asked if we were ok. Chips were rock solid and covered in herbs to hide it's horrible taste. Cocktails full of sugar and not able to drink.so both of our cocktails were left full. See from the photo the fat that was in the burger and the burger meat was white. We were not offered an alternative. No waiter came to check if we were enjoying our food. Some gentleman did apologise and took away our bill so we didn't owe anything. We were left on a table on our own in the corner looking over at what appeared to be mass amount of locals enjoying themselves being treated well. Due to covid this was our first get away, however walking away from Nicosia very upset and disappointed. To be treated like we are not welcome. However we highly recommend staying in the main city centre for food and drinks or even go over to the Turkish side to be treated equally and one of their own. We are visiting from Brussels, and this place looked amazing so we decided to go.. It does indeed look amazing ! It is a great "oasis" to be in. And the service was very good. 4 people = 4 different cocktails ... all served in a "glass of ice cream dessert" with A LOT OF crushed ice and whatever liquid that tasted like SYRUP & SUGAR. You could not even tell the taste, or the alcohol you had in it. Just sweet sweet swert. From experience I would say these are pre-made drinks. But when you charge 11 € for a cocktail ... its not cool to give a glass of sugar filled drink with no taste. Where is the cocktail? Where is the balance of ingredients? Sad that for such a beautiful place, the cocktails are SO EXPENSIVE for being SO BAD! Hopefully, they will consult with a mixologist in the future

Money was never an issue here, but the very low quality of what you offer. If you are anot able to realise that, then you clearly only care about getting the money from your customers while offering a DEPLORABLE service. And then even dare to have your waiter ask for a TIP.
