Mer bleue restaurant — Restaurant in Oroklini

BEWARE FAMILIES! We were a party of four families with 11 children, and despite being seated by the staff (in our case, in the outside area), the short-haired female owner came to our table mid meal with a very aggressive and rude attitude, telling us that our children were making too much noise and needed to be controlled. To be clear, our children were behaving like normal kids – chatting and occasionally laughing – and were certainly not causing a significant disturbance. It's a disgrace that a restaurant owner would treat a large group of paying customers this way, especially after accommodating our booking. We even made it clear we had a large group with children when we were seated, hoping to be placed in a way that wouldn't bother others. If this restaurant is truly not suitable for families, then why did they accept our booking? To claim they are "kid-friendly" and then behave in this manner is a complete contradiction and incredibly poor business practice. Avoid if you have children and value being treated with...

Still the world's best Calamari...

In the five years since I first reviewed Mer Bleue I've eaten some of the finest Calamri on offer across four continents. A couple came close, but nothing touches the genius of Mer Bleue's Hot & Sour Calamari.

Service is still excellent and the prices are fair, given the outstanding quality of what's on offer. The property has also undergone a recent face-lift, so now it's extra charming in its exquisite seaside setting.

This is quite simply one of my favorite restaurants on the planet...

This is easily one of the best restaurants in southern Cyprus. I actually come here quite a lot when I'm on the island.

The place has a very nice view right on the beach. Plenty of parking right outside. Service was ok, the waitresses would come and just drop the plates and leave without asking if you need anything or ask is the food ok. I am one not to fuss with the staff, if I do not like something I pay and leave and do not ever go back there. Now for the food. The sauces for starters were lovely but the pitta bread had an old feeling and tough. The salad the tomatoes were old and unedible so we did not eat them, The little fried fish...one of the red snapper(parpouni tasted off) The Kalamari was the best dish and tasty, I loved that so ordered one for take away. The Souffle was the biggest let down as it was so old yet they served it to us and even inside it had become so dry cause it was so old.
