We were met by Petros who was really friendly. We were in apartment 6 which was a disabled facilites room on the ground floor close to reception area. Spaceous apartment with kitchen and living room area with a balcony area overlooking the pool and play area. The pool area was really nice with lots of comfy sunbeds with shaded area if you want shade. Everything about the apartment was clean and well maintained. The only downside was the location it was quite run down area around the hotel. Additionally it was very quiet in the hotel at night and felt like an off peak time weven though it was June! There was no atmosphere in the hotel of an evening and no other guests around only a couple of staff members. This didn't bother us at all as we went out every night into Larnaca which was a ten minute bus ride at 1.50 Euros per person, where there was lots of bars, restaurants and a promenade. The bus is number 424 or 425. Also a bus from the opposite side of the road to Ayia Napa number 711 which we used for a day trip. The pick up and drop off was outside the Princess Hotel. Although the staff in the Lucky were really helpful and can advise on getting around on local transport if you don't have a car. It is the perfect location to have a car - which most people at the hotel seemed to have. We paid £221 for 9 nights for the two of us - an absolute bargain and would recommend for a cheap and cheerful relaxing...
Read moreme and my partner have just returned from a 10 night stay at Lucky Hotel. The rooms had a basic clean everyday, but sheets and towels changed every four days. |Breakfast was also basic. However it was not until the 5th or 6th day that they brought out some fruit. One day we had some pastries. There was he usual choice of two cereals, toast some cold meats. We pretty much lived off toast and fruit for breakfast. The crockery was matching. They just had random mugs to use which I preferred as I could have a proper mug of tea.|We didn't really stay around the pool area as we thought the pool itself looked quite dirty, we had hired a car so we went off to the main beach in Larnaca and took a drive to Ayia Napa, and Protaras which had lovely beaches.|The hotel itself was very quiet, and we seemed to be the only English people there, Not that it bothered us as we were out and about most days.|Wifi was available in rooms, it cut out occasionally, but we would just reconnect and it would work again. Not a massive problem for us.|We probably wouldn't stay here again, only reason being we would want somewhere that has more going on, with some atmosphere to it. It was value for money, and a...
Read moreI stayed here for 2 nights in May and was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the friendly staff and the value for money. ||I had a room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and sea. The room was very comfortable with a decent sized bedroom, large living room/kitchenette and a modern bathroom with a good shower. I was staying partly on business and partly to relax for a couple of days & I found this hotel ideal. ||I was travelling on my own and felt very comfortable and at home at this hotel. I enjoyed relaxing by the swimming pool and going out to one of the local restaurants nearby to eat. The hotel and area was quiet when I was there but just what I needed for a relaxing couple of days. All the staff I met at the hotel were really friendly and customer focused and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. ||A...
