Ficardo Restaurant — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

We decided to go here after seeing all the amazing reviews and were unfortunately really disappointed. For starters we had halloumi - This was really nice. We also had bruschetta - not great at all as the bread was not toasted and was quite soggy.

The mains were so disappointing; we had ravioli which tasted like standard supermarket pasta and sauce and the ribeye which was inedible. I had one bite and couldn’t have any more even though I was hungry. My partner tried some and asked for lemon to put on it to see would that help but it was still awful. It was extremely rubbery (the chef acknowledged this after tasting a piece later) and for some reason watery (maybe had been frozen?). I put it to the side of the table ; the two of us sat at a table for four so I put it on the other side of the table and no one noticed or came to check on us until the end. The waiter asked if I’d like something else but I didn’t because nothing else apart from the halloumi had been nice.

If you want a nice steak go next door to the lodge; absolutely amazing steak, good quality fresh meat. If you want Italian food go to Duomo. I’m not sure what ficardos specialty food is but it didn’t succeed in any field.. the service wasn’t great and I found the man who seated us to be quite rude.

Also I find it strange that they have NO negative or average reviews in 2 years when the quality of the food was so poor.. I wish I would have seen a review like this before wasting a night of a short...

The owner greeted us warmly, setting the tone for a welcoming dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive ambiance. We started with a selection of appetizers, including the soup of the day and beef carpaccio. The starters were delicious, with the soup served at the right temperature and well-seasoned. The carpaccio provided an interesting twist on traditional flavors. Moving on to the main courses, we ordered the Diane Steak, Fillet Steak, and Gorgonzola Pork Fillet. Unfortunately, some of the dishes, despite being ordered medium to well, were not cooked properly, which was a disappointment. Another issue arose when the main courses arrived with shared portions of steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes. While we were dining as couples, it seemed odd that the dishes were not served individually, especially if we had been a group of friends rather than couples. Despite these hiccups, the overall taste of the food was pleasant and enjoyable, making the experience worthy. The desserts, including the Lava Cake and Pear, were decent. However, the pear was cold when it would have been more satisfying if it had been warm and melting. The restaurant boasted a calm and simple atmosphere, creating a relaxed setting for a meal. Absolutely shocking service, the lady that works front of house should not be in hospitality. Her Father and Brother would be better off without having her in the restaurant. We, as a family of 3, 2 adults and a child, went for dinner her due to the good reviews. Myself and my son ordered a starter and my wife did not. We all ordered mains. The two starters came after about 15 mins and, to be fair, whilst the portions were small they tasted very good. Then, after a further 50 mins, whilst watching other tables, who arrived after us, receive their mains we still had not. Bear in mind my wife had so far been at the restaurant for well over an hour without having anything to eat. I asked a waiter when our mains would arrive. He didn't come back so after a further 10 mins I asked the lady (I use this term loosely) who works front of house how long the mains would be. After a further 10 mins (so now an hour and a half had lapsed from ordering to still not receiving mains and all this time my wife had not eaten) I decided to draw a line under it and went to the counter to cancel the mains and just pay for the drinks we had and the two starters.
