We got food which tbh wasn't too bad. I am sure something was microwaved because was served too fast, for main i got grilled shrimps with vegetables, fries. The vegetables were simply frozen boiled from the pack. For Mediterranean cuisine they could have grilled them as well...simply disappointing. Which was worst was the service. The director hosts you to the table then a lovely young waitress came and took our first order. I don't know why someone else, middle aged woman waitress came and asked the same. Simply looking like trying too hard for the service. We ordered food after we got served our starters, the young waitress cam to take our empty plates, and she wanted to bring new clean cutlery, what happened next was the lowest and unprofessional behaviour. The middle aged waitress, took from her colleague's hands the cutlery and came to serve us. To say that the poor girl was sad is nothing, besides that her manager/the host started to "educate" her in front of everyone, she left the floor crying and came back after 30 minutes. When we got served our mains, I tried eating my shrimps without making a mess out of myself, and the oldest waiter man, passed asked us if everything was fine and started teaching me that I should eat with my hands- like I even asked any advise. After I got some weat tissue the manager passed again out table to ask if everything was fine and started to rip the bag so I can clean myself which again I didn't ask. The manager and his team are trying too hard and sticking their service to your trought. The poor your waitress was the only one educated, professional, not annoyingly serving us and not jandarming us like a policeman. I am sad that she is working with such colleagues, wish her the best and wish more professionalism...
Read moreImpressive Cuisine!! We live in Paphos and -as all locals-have our favourite eateries 'gems' ,which we frequent repeatedly, among the many restaurants here. However, last Saturday decided to try Romeos Restaurant and were really impressed! Fitos, the proprietor, is clearly passionate about his business. As can be seen from the photos, the meal was absolutely sumptuous! Not only perfectly presented but also generously portioned and beautifully cooked! This restauranteur is a true professional! The restaurant is spacious and well socially distanced. It is light and airy and well appointed, with attractive tables and comfortable chairs. We ordered mixed dips to begin and a salad with fetta cheese. As is clear from the photo, it was generous and lush!! The mains were a treat as well. I had the salmon, which is served with vegetables, rice and potatoes-of your choice. My husband selected the mixed grill-a delectable and perfectly cooked assortment, again, beautifully presented! Our son ordered the lasagne-which was HUGE! (enough for 2 persons, I would say)Superb! He loved it! Throughout, the staff provided seamless, friendly service. Stella is an excellent hostess and happy to advise diners. These people truly take pride in their work. Finally, complementary Pourekkia were offered- which are a local delicacy.( Sweet anari cheese wrapped in pastry parcels and sprinkled with icing sugar-delectable!) Overall, a wonderful experience! Romeos is a fantastic restaurant and well worth visiting. We shall return soon. Thank you Fitos...
Read moreDining at Romeo's Tavern was an exceptional experience that exceeded our usual dining habits. Rarely do we find ourselves returning to the same restaurant multiple times during our travels, yet Romeo's Tavern drew us back not once, but twice, making a total of three unforgettable visits. The allure of this charming establishment lies not only in its authentic Cypriot cuisine, which was consistently delicious across all our meals, but also in the warm and welcoming atmosphere fostered by the staff. In particular, Liliana and Stella went above and beyond to make us feel at home, greeting us with smiles and providing service that was both attentive and personal.
The menu at Romeo's Tavern offered a variety of traditional dishes, each prepared with a level of care and authenticity that transported us to the heart of Cyprus with every bite. The serving sizes were generous, ensuring we left satisfied each time, yet the prices remained surprisingly decent, providing excellent value for the quality of food and experience offered.
In a world where dining out is often just a transaction, Romeo's Tavern reminded us that it can be an experience to cherish - one where delicious food and genuine hospitality come together to create truly memorable moments. We normally don't eat at the same place twice, but Romeo's Tavern was not just any place. It was a delightful exception to our rule, and we cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Cyprus served with...
