Cavallini ristorante — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

My "other wife" and I ate here having been separated from our group.

When we went in we asked for a table for 11 and they said they could fit us in to the dining area inside if they moved the tables about. We agreed to sit and have a drink in the bar area while they made the necessary adjustments. As we did so we heard from the rest of the group that they had ended up in another restaurant 😱🤯

We apologised profusely but decided we still preferred to eat there. The owner was, understandably disappointed, sat us at a two seater in the covered front garden and we had a great meal.

I had the Lasagne and Wifey #2 had gone for one of the Rigatoni dishes. A glass of white wine complimented it nicely. I enjoyed the obligatory Tiramisu desert, scrumptious and Wifey#2 enjoyed the complimentary brandys Both meals were exemplary. Great portions, great taste and just what we needed.

The owner was kind enough to explain that the big storm that had hit the island a few days earlier had washed out his Saturday night booking and our "phantom 9" would have helped repair some of the disappointment.

That said, on our return, we did tell everyone in the group about this excellent restaurant and I know that the majority of them went and ate there over the following evenings with equally high reports upon return.

Yet again my most profound apologies to the owner and limitless thanks for his kind response and superb food.

I will return next year but this...

απολύτως εκπληκτικό, got recommended by 2 taxi drivers as the ‘best steak on the island, well let’s see … from the greeting to the good bye everyone was so welcoming !!! The first waiter didn’t turn his nose up because we had a four year old with us, in fact I think he was half cockney with the ‘hey up mate’ , then The sommelier didn’t try and push the chateau nerf because the house was fantastic….. as a house wine should be , steak Tartar and muscles to start , asked if we wanted as a sharer as we discussed what we could share. Then asked if they could do a rosini as wasn’t on the menu ….. of course they can!!! And it was mouth watering, bread, steak cooked perfect, pate , sauce, veg al denti and rosties cruchie on the outside soft in the middle (pass the mash 1 more time and then it could have been smooth as water), they boy had finished his spag Bol starters and wanted ice cream and cake…..again the waiter knew it wasn’t on the menu but came up with some concoction that ticked the boxes!!! Couldn’t recommend...

Dropped in here while on holiday and we were delighted with the food and the service. Very attentive and welcoming. Order taken quickly and bread and small soup servings provided as a 'welcome'. Starters served promptly despite the restaurant filling up. Caprese salad and bruschetta were very nice. For mains the lasagne and the insalata cavallini were delivered quickly. Lasagne was hot and tasty. Salad was like a Caesar salad with a delicious crisp toast but a bit light on the ham and pine nuts mentioned on the menu. No draught beer but options of bottled. Prosecco was very nice and meal ended with complimentary liqueurs. All in all a very lovely experience and would...
