Alykes Beach — Attraction in Paphos Municipality

The sea is actually beautiful especially this time of year when it’s calm and not so warm. Yes there is no sand but the water is clean. The sun beds are comfortable and there are clean towels but the owners are highly unlikable people. This is the only place I have been to in Cyprus where they want to take your money asap and not offer much behind it. I paid 15 euro for one person - sunbed and towel, and came to find out it was super dirty everywhere, there were flies landing on me every 5 seconds, not even exaggerating.

I went to the bar area and wanted to buy a drink, they made me feel like I broke into their house, but at the same time don’t mind charging you 5€ for a lukewarm corona. I asked a simple question out of curiosity as to when they close for winter and the guy gave such an odd and bizarre answer he would have destroyed my whole mood if I was bit more sensitive.

I regret spending 20 euros at this establishment and will not return. I advise to not go here either. Spend your hard earned...

Nice beds and location, but ....service. They don’t allow you to leave to buy food or drinks without making you pay again. They should clearly post these rules on the beach to prevent people from finding themselves in situations where they have to pay double or triple if they leave for a while. Money comes first. During our stay we saw several people with the same problem and this man here wasn't polite to handle these complaints. It is not nice atmosphere for vacation if there is lot of nervousness around you. You expect relaxing surrounding if you pay 18 euros per day. Today they said that the place is reserved to hotel :). And if we asked why, then this man said that he must say so because I shared this information to you. Only positive review is expected, otherwise you will...

Great beach with all the things you could possibly need: sunbeds with an umbrella and a locked box (total of 11€ for two beds with mentioned extras), showers, changing rooms, toilets, snorkeling park (yes, an actual snorkeling park), restaurants and buses/taxis/large parking area nearby, two lifeguards’ stations.
