I stopped here for dinner. The restaurant had a moderate amount of customers there. I ordered a 330ml Stella beer (€4.00), Funghi Al Forno pizza (small, €15.90) and vegetale small (mushrooms in tomato sauce+garlic sauce, €8.90).
While I was waiting to order I was sitting at and outside table just at the boarder of the restaurant canopy. I was vaping and an obese, bald waiter made me aware that I wasn’t allowed to “smoke”. There is no signs stating that you cannot smoke/vape in the outdoor table area.
The majority of restaurants I have been to in Cyprus have allowed people to smoke/vape int the outdoor areas. I respect the restaurants policies although it would of been so much easier if there had of been signs stating no smoking/vaping in the outside table area rather than being told off in front of other customers like a school child.
When I was ordering I noticed on the menu that the pizzas came in a size small or large. I asked the female waitress how big the small pizza was. She didn’t know and proceeded to show me the size with her hands.
While waiting for my food to arrive I was constantly given dirty looks by the obese, bald waiter who told me off for vaping in the outside table area.
My food arrived in good time. I first received the funghi Al forno. The sauce was rich and well seasoned. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed this starter and would recommend.
The pizza came. It was roughly 14 inch in size. The dough was thin and undercooked in the middle, making it soggy and had the pizza toppings falling off every time I tried to pick a slice up.
The pizza sauce was watery and flavourless. The only thing I could taste was the vegetable toppings. The 14 inch pizza came with 14 olives on it.
Every olive I bit into had a pit in it. As you can see from the photos, I got tired of biting into pizza then trying not to choke on the olive pits, so I decided to pick all the olives off the pizza. This was very inconvenient.
I haven’t tried everything on this restaurants menu so I can only judge what I ordered and I would suggest you avoid the pizzas. The funghi Al forno starter on the other hand, I would highly recommend.
If this restaurant does not want customers to smoke/vape in the outdoor seating area then I would suggest putting signs up so that customers aren’t told off like little children.
I would also suggest that the obese, bald waiter refrain from trying to intimidate...
Read moreAbsolutely abysmal experience! Rude staff and terrible food. We were pretty much ignored from the moment we arrived, I had to catch a waiters attention just to get them to take our order and when he came over he just stood there and didn’t say anything. No welcome or can I get you some drinks. We then waited 40 minutes for our pizzas to arrive. I was starting to get concerned that they’d forgotten about us given people who’d arrived after us had received their food. When I asked I was told ‘well if you’ve been waiting a long time then the food will be coming soon won’t it?’. This waiter then just walked off. No apology or let me check that for you. I could have looked past all all of this if it had been good but the pizza was terrible. The base was soggy, there was no flavour or seasoning and the tomato sauce lacking. Again we had to repeatedly try and catch the attention of a waiter just to get the bill. I’ve never had such a poor experience in Cyprus before. Every restaurant I’ve been to here has had the most attentive and helpful staff but not here! Avoid! It is not worth the wait, the food is terrible and the staff were...
Read moreBeautiful Sardo restaurant in Cyprus.
We came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday here as she fancied a Sardinian pizza. The atmosphere was fantastic - the pizza chef is the owner and also Sardinian and was a pleasure to talk to him. They are really welcoming and nice people.
In terms of food - oh dear oh dear the pizzas are massive. We had a big margherita to share among 2, and a “little” capricciosa for one. Well the big one would have easily been enough for us three, for sure. Maybe with a little salad. For dessert we, of course, had tiramisu. The pizzas were delicious - you can tell the ingredients are of good quality for sure. Olives were a delight.
Tiramisu was however a bit dry. We are also coffee fans and it didn’t really taste like much coffee, which was a bit disappointing as to us a tiramisu is a coffee celebration.
All in all - we ate well, we laughed, and it was so nice to meet Gino. If you have the chance, come around, have a pizza and a...
