Very friendly and chatty British owned, if you are looking for home food away from home their food looked good, we only had Toasties and homemade chips as weren't super hungry but another table had pies with gravy that looked great and they have a proper pizza oven.
Highlights for me are that they have a really good range of drinks, different beers and some small batch speciality beers as well as cypriot made gin, which is served with FEVERTREE tonic, not seen this in any other pub/bar in paphos (not that I ever asked for it specifically) and you are welcome to make use of the swimming pool!!! which is slightly separated from the bar area and also used by other flats in the complex this is brilliant for us as no pool where we stay. Didnt see any loungers belonging to the bar though only saw ones with peoples flat number on so you may want to take something to sit on in high season if you want to lounge by the pool. They also have a pool table which keeps us entertained.
Prices are a bit higher than some of the others on the main road so if you are just looking for the basics at bottom dollar, it might not be for you, but if you are looking for something a bit different this is fab. (They also have various entertainment on different nights on their website but that's...
Read moreI honestly couldn't recommend this place any higher. I searched for Sunday dinner through a Paphos Facebook group, and Monara was mentioned non stop. Anyway we popped in and it was unreal from the moment we walked through the door, you have "Tony H" at the hot plate aka "Tony Carvary" aka "Antinio" and I was spoilt choice and could not fault it whatsoever and being a Northener trust me I've had some Sunday lunches in my time, and it was 10/10 I mentioned it was my Birthday on the Tuesday and all I wanted was lamb chops and the Mrs wanted a parmo (being from Middlesbrough) Tony straight away said I'll do you Lamb chops lol, swear to God I cant praise the place enough as ive just had the best Birthday in Monara than I have in a long time. He even wrote a song especially for me taking the mick as I love lamb chops and get emotional when I'm drunk haha. Right I could go on for longer but I'll end it with............ "Best Bar Paphos" by far keep it up guys #teammonara Devastated I never found this bar sooner 😢 Also The Parmo was Teesside...
Read moreAs I see it, it's set out more like a restaurant, small bar area and it seems you need to find a table and get served there. No bar area to sit/stand at and didn't seem to have an atmosphere so with all that I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon but that's just my opinion. Update. Well thank you for your reply and your response is as I expected from such a place/ management. Maybe your staff could be better trained, maybe the person doing the karaoke who wasn't getting the attention they wanted didn't turn the large screen TV off, and as for getting busy so no standing at the bar that doesn't wash. If it's a sports bar be a sports bar not a flimsy cater for all with no identity. "Jack of all trades- master of none" comes to mind and before you assume wrongly I worked in this trade in Cyprus for many years in a bar 3 times the size and it had...
