First I want to start this review acknowledging some of the wait staff being very kind and nice during our very first visit. Especially a younger man with glasses. He was very nice to us and welcoming. Upon our second visit , the restaurant was busy and there was not visible tables free. We asked what may have been the owner or manager about availability and timing and we would wait. His response was “it’s good for me that it’s busy but not so good for you”. I laughed it off but he didn’t seem to care that we were willing to wait and he didn’t provide me any details about wait time or if any tables might be wrapping up shortly. It was if we just walked away it would be easier for him. So that’s exactly what we did. The next day we tried again and a younger male waiter said “it could take over 2 hours for a table to leave, how would i know “ in a rude tone. None the less we typically make reservations anyway it was a spur of the moment idea and understandable to find at times no availability when you don’t plan ahead, but the way some of the head staff talk is rude to say the least. Offering us an option to make a reservation for the following day by taking my information or just being kind would have been how I would handle it if it was my own restaurant. I am undecided if I would return with my family...
Read moreWow — the portions of the gyros were huge!
Unfortunately, the first time we went there for dinner, we couldn’t try it because they had already run out of gyros meat. They explained that it’s very popular and sometimes they don’t have any left by dinnertime. So the second time, we went for lunch instead, and there were plenty of free tables and everything from the menu was available.
They took our order quite quickly, but we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive, even though only a few tables were occupied.
The food itself was very tasty — the zucchini balls were especially delicious! There are two sizes for the gyros, but even the small one looks huge.
We did find it a bit strange that the items not included in the set menus, like the gyros, were served directly on paper sheets placed on the table instead of plates. Also, for me it was a big minus that they didn’t serve tzatziki with the gyros — I’ve never eaten gyros anywhere else without it.
At the end, it also took quite a while to get the bill, and I think the staff didn’t really understand what we were asking for. The servers were foreigners and spoke broken English.
Overall, the food was good, but in my opinion, gyros should always come with tzatziki, and the service could have...
Read moreNot sure why this place spends money on ads when they cannot sit people / are understaffed. People massively were coming and leaving because they were not served.
We came in approx 13:20, been waiting 10+ min to be served, food came after 45min.
Food was tasty, for my taste a little over salty (meat and cheese ball). Nice experience with serving the things without a plate, directly on the table.
Skewers are big, 1 per person is more than enough + 1 zuchini and 1 cheese ball + shared salad. Pita comes free and they are generous about lemon.
I didnt like the fact we ordered a salad without onion, and it came with onion. We told and they took it but didnt make a new salad, just took some pieces off (i hate onion so -1 star for this) and the salad still tasted onion and had pieces left…
Another 10 min waiting for the bill.
Recommended but they are really...
