We stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The room has serious cleanliness and maintenance issues — the kitchen cabinets smell strongly of mold, the paint on the walls is peeling due to dampness, and the silicone in the bathroom is black and moldy. We are here with children, and having visible mold and such a strong musty smell is simply unacceptable — especially for a place that claims to be a 3-star hotel. It feels unhealthy and poorly maintained. When we asked to change the room, we were offered another one with the same layout — but it also had the same mold smell in the cabinets. The staff did try to address the issue, wiping the mold with a sponge and soap and attempting to fix the silicone around the shower. However, such surface cleaning clearly doesn’t solve the problem. Mold in furniture and walls requires proper treatment, not temporary fixes. Our room is on the first floor, which also makes it inconvenient to carry a baby push chair up and down every day. The staff suggested leaving it near the reception, but that area is not close to our room, so it’s not practical. When we asked if we were the first guests to report such issues — and it’s already the end of the season — we were told yes. Honestly, that’s very hard to believe. Overall, this is far below what anyone would expect from a 3-star hotel. We truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously, especially for families traveling with small children.

I recently stayed at Protaras Plaza Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no soap in the bathroom, which was a frustrating start. We were a party of four but only received three bath towels, and despite raising this issue multiple times, the situation never improved. The towels we did receive were dirty and marked. Room service left much to be desired; the floors were left dirty, beds were not made properly, and we were often left with a folded sheet instead of a properly made bed. To make matters worse, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling and we encountered ants during our stay. The safe was also not functioning, and despite notifying the staff about a loose tap in the bathroom, it remained unfixed. The beach towel policy was unappealing, as you had to hold onto them for 2-3 days before exchanging for new ones. Breakfast was another letdown—there was no air conditioning in the dining area, making it uncomfortably hot, and the drinks were often warm and diluted. Items like cake and soutchouko were not replenished, which was disappointing. Lastly, borrowing an iron was an inconvenience, as you had to request it and return it after use. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. There are definitely better options available in the area.

Incredible hotel with super nice and helpful staff! The rooms were recently renovated - so it is very pleasant to stay in. The Fig Tree bay is just 2 min walking. The breakfast is simply but tasty. There are plenty of places to eat - so do explore rather than opting for dinner. If you are looking for a nice sea view, do ask for 3d floor as some rooms on the 2d floor can have the pine tries in front covering the sea view. Do bare in mind that there is a roof top bar, however in October it is closed, so it was quiet enough to sleep without any noise. If is indeed a worth hotel to come back!

Just had a week staying at the Protaras Plaza hotel. We had paid for the upgraded "sea view" room and to say we were disappointed was an understatement. You could see the sea but the rooms are very dark at the rear of the hotel and overlooks dozens of sky dishes and a builders yard not the thing you want to see on holiday. The rooms only get an hour or so of sunlight on the balconies in the upgrade rooms and are definitely not worth the money. We actually asked for a downgrade without asking for any refund to the front so we could at least people watch however this was declined. The rooms are clean and tidy however the hotel absolutely needs a refurb as the corridors have a musty smell, the carpets are threadbare and stained and outside of the lift on the third floor looks like a murder scene with a huge stain on the carpet. The canteen is large enough however the food is very basic to say the least with very little variation or choice of foods. Very bland the bacon is like leather and the beans have no taste whatsoever. The cheapest of cereals and the cornflakes taste like cardboard. Evening meals are the same repetitive and bland chicken, pork and beef with packet peas, carrots and sliced potatoes mostly. Staff are friendly however they tend to be taking your plates away as your still eating which stressed me out tbh. Don't get the evening meal option it's terrible but lots of restaurants nearby. Good location on the strip is it's only saving grace for me but wouldn't...

We Stayed as a couple for 14 nights from Aug 20 and had a nice relaxing stay.|We usually stay in apartments and was a little hesitant on staying in a hotel room but we were very lucky on been given room 323, which is on the 3rd floor corner which was soooo much bigger than other hotel room, it had a wrap around balcony with beautiful views of fig tree and strip, best of both worlds and a super breeze coming up from the bay to keep you cool in that extream heat,, its so much better so try to request this room or the one below, which I presume would be numbered 223,|Hotel is nice and clean, excellent WiFi, even when sitting in Lá Pas bar, adjacent to the hotel, great spot,,|Beds are extremely comfy which is soo important, cleaning I think was every single day, plenty of towels, toilet paper, bed changing, replenishing of tea and coffee every day, fridge is large enough to hold milk, sever bottles of water and a small amount of food at any given time,|Location is excellent, 5 mins walk to fig tree, side exit,,|Staff are all very nice and pleasant, willing to chat at any time, even if they pull a double shift😭,|We went on a B&B basis but I only went once, it's basic but would keep you going, I had eggs on toast with bacon, not english, fruit and coffee, it was fine,|If going to Protaras take a look at this hotel, its a strong contender to achieve a wonderful holiday as we did, so a big thank you to the hotel and all the...
