Rives has essentially become my local haunt—a straightforward, no-nonsense sports bar that doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. It embraces its simplicity, setting the stage for genuine enjoyment. Here, beer is served cold, tasting exactly as it should, and is complemented by the warmth of the friendly staff.

The owner, a real character, is usually around, engaging with customers and ensuring their comfort. His presence and helpfulness add a personal touch to the experience. I’ve tried their breakfast on several occasions, and at €5.50, it’s a satisfying deal that doesn’t disappoint.

Rives earns a 4* from me for its straightforward approach, excellent beer, and great value. It’s a place where frills are unnecessary, and the focus is on providing a relaxed, friendly environment for enjoying the basics done right.

Great spot for a night out. The acts they have on are hit and miss to be honest but that's not what we went for. Ollie the DJ does a cracking job keeping the party going into the early hours and was more than happy to indulge my husbands karaoke obsession (fortunately it was a quiet night so didn't upset everyone). The cocktails are just the right balance of strong and cheap and the wait staff are incredibly friendly especially Megan who looked after us on numerous occasions. On holiday here at the mo, popped in for some breakfast and cupa, orderd some scrambled egg on toast as there wasent a vegie option, and hubby orderd omlette he chucked it down on the table like he was feeding animals, don't think the service is that great really , another family come in and had to go get there own menus as waited to long for someone to bring them as he was too busy talking to someone, And when we wanted to pay he gave us the wrong bill and me being honest told him and he didn't even apologize or say thankyou for letting me know.Wont be Visiting here again look after your...
