Zenta's Bar — Restaurant in Peyia

Came hear to watch the football and have our evening meal at the same time. Was told whilst sitting down that the Chef was not working so there was no menu.

Fair enough, not a problem. Got up to leave when the waiter said to our whole group that we could have food delivered in. Great, we didn't mind that so ordered some food from the local takeaway.

Within minutes of starting to eat it another gentleman (possibly the owner or Manager) came over and told us we could not eat food brought in. We explained that his colleague told us that we could, as there was no Chef available.

Believing it was a simple matter of confusion, we called over the original waiter to confirm what he had said to us but were shocked as he stood there and blatantly lied, saying that nobody had asked him!!! He stared into the street and could not even make eye contact with any of us.

Genuinely could not believe what we were hearing. It was clear that the waiter had given us permission without having the authourity to do so. Totally understand that restaurants are not going to allow you to consume food from other establishments but we only did so because they were not serving food and we had been given express permission.

We ended up having to dispose of our food which cost 45 euro and having to find another bar. As we were leaving another couple sat by the entrance told us that the same waiter had also told them that they too could order food to be delivered, so they would need to leave when it arrived.

if you want the BEST full English breakfast in coral bay then this place provides it and much more!!! The staff members are wonderfully welcoming, attentive, without being pushy, which was a far cry from other establishments. The premises is located near the top of the strip, and as the place was busy that was great advertising in itself so in we went, we were given a menu as soon as we sat down, and asked for our drinks order so we had plenty of time and space to decide what meal we wanted. We decided on 2 full English breakfasts with an extra sausage on both (see pictures) and we were NOT disappointed. The restaurant was immaculately clean and you can also see the wonderful chef and kitchen staff preparing your food dependent on your choice of seats, I cannot fault this place at all, because there is no to criticism to give!!! We tried a few other places in our 16 days but they didn't come close to Zentas!!! In fact we had at least 10 visits for breakfast and around 6 for lunch, all of which were faultless!!! Summing up, great food, great staff who take pride in their work, and that's from the extremely hard working cleaners to the owner/manager and everyone in between!!! We've been here twice but only for drinks so could not comment on the food. Good cocktails but waitresses are obviously on selling commission as I had to practically defend my decision not to have any more to a particularly pushy female who failed to appreciate I had a 10 minute drive to make to our base as the sole driver of a rented car. I eventually offered to pay for another round of drinks for our party of 4 if she was willing to pay for us a taxi home and a return trip to collect the car the next morning !! No more...
