Apollo Tavern — Restaurant in Pissouri Municipality

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this venue and really liked everything. The tables, chairs, decor and the stone and wood used in the construction all contributed to a memorable evening meal. The food and service (thank you Silvia and Mario) were fantastic. We had a three course dinner and the portions are generous - my kalamari starter (best kalamari I've had in Cyprus) almost filled me up. My wife had the Pissouri salad to begin (and we were brought some delicious warm olive bread to accompany our starters). Our main courses were Iberiko pork chops and chicken riganato, both very tasty and we also had a delicious portokalopita and pecan pie to finish. All super. We were SO full (I even left a few of my chips and a little of my pecan pie and it's very rare I leave food especially when it's this good). Next time we visit, we'll share a salad to start and also a pudding! A memorable evening for us - thank you Apollo Tavern! Also, we'd like to revisit for lunch and sit outside - the location is superb but we sat inside (which is delightful) as the evening was a little cool...

The food is absolutely fantastic with local ingredients. Staff are wonderful. Very relaxing environment with live local music today which didn't dominate but was great in the background Mezze platter for 2 would feed four adults. It's delicious but too much for 2 people. Incredible good though, kebabs, lamb chops, moussaka, bread, fish, prawns and more. My only criticisms are that they serve calamari which my friend did eat but squid are very intelligent animals similar to octopus, and the baklava was a bit dry. But it was still lovely, staff just incredible, lamb cooked perfectly, wonderful. The kebabs were great and cheese. Well...

Empty restaurant, we wanted a sea view table but the staff offered the seats at the bar because they were fully booked. We sat on the old dirty furniture, probably the worst seats, wanted to leave but the kids were hungry and there is nothing closer.

No salt pepper on the table but who cares, ancient super food salad average taste, bolognese pasta for kids looking strange, very watery. We finished our foods and still empty, not nice. Bad service, expensive dishes.

Used to love this restaurant but now it’s a NO.
