Disapointed and frustrated from 2 min after entering the restaurant today. We enter and ask the waitress if ok to sit on the table. She then barely looked at us showing annoyed face... clearly that face was saying "why are u coming now to eat, i want to finish my shift and leave...". Though the restaurant eas still full of customers and open..anyway even if the restaurant was closing ( which was mot the case) she could have explained to us politely that they stopped serving . We felt unwelcome as she only made the " face" without answering us for few seconds if it was ok to sit or no on the table. When i repeated for 3rd time my question..she finally answered withiut looking at us...we serve only buffet anyway...clearly meaning we dont want u here.....we are not coming go beg for food..we are coming to pay a good price to consume food and therefore pay ur waitress salary....we just left to nextdoor restaurant..
Just read please the "professional" reaction of the owner to a customer review....he just confirmed himself how RUDE he is....if you are not able to accept critics and u take it personal then you should not open a...
Read moreSo we went here in a group of 7 adults and a baby. The chefs were Indian. But the wait staff were not. They had good understanding of Indian food though. We ate Bombay Aloo, Kaju ke sheekh, Tandoori Mushroom, Chicken Tikka, Chana Masala, Dal Tadka, Jeera Rice, Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer, French Fries and Garlic and Cheese Naan. We loved the Tandoori Mushroom so much that we ordered it twice. We were disappointed at the use of food colouring. The palak paneer was overcooked and the paneer had food colouring stains. The same case was with Butter chicken as well which was overly sweet. The chicken tikka was really bad. The meat was overcooked and rubbery. The jeera rice was good. But they used only Masoor dal in the Dal Tadka. I wish they added real ghee for the tempering. The Gulab Jamun we ordered towards the end of our meal was amazing!!!! We had a good time. I hope they work on...
Read moreWe have dined at Saffron in Pissouri Bay many times over the years. The food has always been excellent and over time, the offerings have been refined and improved. The food is not over seasoned, nor too spicy...unless you request 'hot' as your preference.
The Fasting, Vegan and Vegetarian options available on some nights add another dimension to an already great menu.
The owners of Saffron give everyone a warm welcome and go a long way to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The overall vibe is chilled and fun, but there is also a focus on top quality service.
There is really something for everyone on the menu and I cannot imagine anyone leaving Saffron less than delighted with their dining experience. Can't wait to...
