Had a chat with the local foodie community here in Cyprus — a few had decent things to say about Coast Brasserie when it first opened. Unfortunately, those days appear to be well and truly over. I dropped by recently, lured (foolishly) by the glossy aesthetic and an ambitious-looking menu. What a mistake. I ordered the wagyu steak — which arrived, oddly, with a smear of mustard that looked more like someone had changed their mind mid-garnish. Alongside it came what they described as a cucumber and mint salad, priced at a princely €14. What actually landed on the table was a bowl of thinly sliced cucumber — that’s it. No mint worth mentioning, just a few glugs of olive oil. Oh, and the slices still had large, ragged strips of skin clinging on — clearly hacked together in haste, or by someone nursing a grudge against cucumbers. The service? Even better. I was served a glass of distinctly off Primitivo, reeking of the "left-open-too-long" variety. When I mentioned it, the waiter looked at me like I’d asked to borrow his car. No apology, just a flat "Want to change it?" New glass arrived — no warmer greeting. I pointed out the salad issue too — dead eyes. Not even a blink of acknowledgment. To cap it all off, the bill came — and yes, they charged for the spoiled wine and the tragic cucumber medley. Apparently, if it hits the table, it hits your wallet. I even tried dessert in a moment of foolish optimism. Tiramisu, still half-frozen, with delightful ice crystals throughout. Straight from the freezer to your soul. This place might look the part, but trust me — it’s all surface, no soul. You’re better off with a beachside kebab and a decent bottle from the off-licence. upd: I appreciate that restaurants sometimes have bad nights, and I had hoped my review would be taken as constructive feedback. Unfortunately, the owner's reply chose a personal and theatrical tone, which rather proves my point about hospitality. Just to clarify a few things: I paid the bill in full, raised concerns politely at the table, and described my experience as it happened. I specifically told the waitress that the wine tasted off and suggested she try it herself, as I suspected it may have been improperly stored. She offered to bring a replacement, which I accepted. I have no "agenda" and certainly no need for drama — just a genuine disappointment in what could have been a lovely experience. I’ll leave it to future guests to judge — both the food and, just as importantly, the attitude.

I have to give full stars for this little gem located in Pissouri around 20 minutes drive from Paphos centre. It’s a “Tapas” style sharing concept and the portions are ideal and adequate for two to share. All plates individually prepared, presented and served with top quality ingredients. Add this to the delightful, chilled location, wines and attentive staff you have a perfect laid back dining experience. We took ‘special of the day’ Mussels in wine and garlic, Sautéed prawns in a gravy residue oozing Umami which had to be mopped up with the pitta bread 👌A charred on the outside succulent on the inside BBQ Chicken Souvlaki served with a Lime yoghurt and a feisty Pinsa bread with chilli and spicy salami. I will be back here very soon👍

Had a lovely evening at Coast Brasserie, the service was spot on, Daisy and Lana couldn’t do enough to make our evening. We sat outside which was so nice on a warm evening, but the inside decor looked so nice too, could imagine that being a lovely experience. We ordered a couple of plates each, the calamari and octopus was amazing. The black cod was beautiful, the grilled veg and chips were lovely. We couldn’t fit desert in. A really nice experience if you are looking for something a bit different. Would recommend.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and enchants the senses, look no further than Coast Brasserie. Situated in the heart of the city, this vibrant eatery captures the essence of coastal cuisine, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

From the moment you take your first bite, you'll understand why the food at Coast Brasserie is often described as “to die for.” The menu is a thoughtful blend of classic and contemporary dishes, each crafted with care. Begin your meal with some delightful tapas, such as the Calamari, featuring perfectly fried rings served with lemon and spicy mayo, or the Gambas Al Ajillo, sautéed prawns infused with garlic, lemon juice, and paprika. For a refreshing option, try the Buratta, complemented by heritage tomatoes and a basil dressing.

For the main course, the Rib-Eye with Commandaria and green peppercorn sauce is an indulgent choice that promises to satisfy. If seafood is more to your liking, the Grilled Octopus with oregano and lemon is sure to impress with its tender texture and bold flavors. Don't overlook the BBQ Chicken Souvlaki, served with lime yogurt and tomato cucumber salsa, offering a delightful burst of flavor in every bite.

Vegetarian options are equally impressive, featuring dishes like the Sicilian Caponata, a sweet and sour marinated aubergine dish served with crostini, or the Mediterranean Grilled Veg, a medley of seasonal vegetables that highlights the freshness of the ingredients.

To accompany your meal, the Pinsa Romana is a must-try. This unique Roman-style flatbread is made from a blend of soy, rice, and wheat flour, offering a healthier alternative to traditional pizza. Options include the classic Margherita, topped with buffalo mozzarella and basil, or the Salmone, featuring smoked salmon, caramelized onions, and feta.

Don’t forget to save room for dessert! The Lava Cake, served warm with a rich chocolate center, is pure indulgence. If you're in the mood for something lighter, the Pannacotta with vanilla and berries coulis offers a refreshing finish to your meal.

Coast Brasserie boasts an incredible location, just steps away from the waterfront, providing a picturesque backdrop for your dining experience. The interior exudes coastal charm, with nautical-inspired decor and large windows that fill the space with natural light. Whether you're seated at a cozy table or enjoying a drink at the bar, the ambiance is both relaxed and sophisticated.

In addition to the phenomenal food and ambiance, Coast Brasserie offers competitive pricing that makes fine dining accessible. They feature a delightful brunch menu on weekends, complete with signature cocktails and fresh pastries that are perfect for leisurely gatherings.

What truly sets Coast Brasserie apart is the staff. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with genuine smiles and a warm welcome. The servers are knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, eager to recommend dishes and pairings that will elevate your experience. Their attentiveness ensures that you never feel rushed, allowing you to savor each moment of your meal.

In conclusion, if you’re searching for a place where coastal cuisine is celebrated, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch, Coast Brasserie is a must-visit. Prepare to be dazzled, delighted, and utterly satisfied....

RESPONSE TO OWNER Your responses are completely ridiculous apart from ripping off patrons you still pay your staff the absolute minimum. Noone expects buffets or prawns parades. They expect not to be completely ripped off. Your restaurant is a hole in the wall in pissouri, it's not situated in the Amara or on the beach in limassol, so please come back down to earth. Insults show you have zero clue on running a restaurant which probably why you are never there. Taste was 0 score. As for "handmade" what a joke. You sad little person, its time to leave your little cave and face reality. Stop insulting people who are clearly more successful than you and take notes to improve. Actually rather dont. Its best another operator takes over that space next season.

Not what it used to be. Complete and total rip off. Portion size doesn't match the price..niether does the taste. 5* restaurants in limassol dont cost this much for what you get so the "justified for the area" comments are irrelevant. This is coming from a local who doesn't mind paying for good food. 90€ 3 people left hungry. 4 prawns, 2 literally slices of egg plant with cheese and a chicken souvlakia full of thigh fat. What exactly did you do with the rest of the eggplant? After seeing the owners response to negative reviews it seems it won't change, nor will it stay open for next season. You cannot justify the prices for the portions its...
