Grand Kitchen Vlněna — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

I work in the area and went there for the first time yesterday. I ordered the burger with bacon and a small portion of fried Gouda on it. First off, the layout of the place is confusing. But that could be to the fact I had never been there. I was with a group of about 10-12 people who had all been there before.

Second it took forever to get my food. My co-workers had already eaten and had coffee before I even sat down. I understand it takes time to make food, so I can give this one a pass. It is not that big of a deal.

Third, it was extremely unsanitary. I watched the burger chef lick his fingers multiple times and handle food, taking raw meat out of the fridge and then grabbing finished food, putting it on plates and never once did he wash his hands, nor did he have gloves. I know they have gloves and sinks to wash up because the chef making pasta had gloves and I witnessed that he washed his hands.

Fourth and the most important, the burger was horrible. The meat was dry and thin and was like eating cardboard. The bun was way too big and too dry for the burger and the special mayo was bland. The bacon had no flavor and the toppings were skimpy.

The meal cost me 209 czk and it was worth less than 20 czk imo. I do not recommend this place, I will not eat here again. It is overpriced and just plain bad

Update: I realize now, the reason I have been on the toilet all day today is most likely due to the unsanitary...

Considering that this was supposed to be fancy lunch place for the offices close by, there is a lot of things that need to be adjusted here. Meals are ok, but not that ok. Especially considering the price. It was 8 of us and most of the people were complaining about their meal. But fair enough, it was the same 2 meals that were repeating. Another things is that even with smaller number of customers, waiting time for food is not good at all. I think this is the price to pay for freshly prepared meals. Plus there was one cook to serve the already done meals (soup), and to prepare the orders. In reality we made an order, went to find a table, and then we returned for the meals when we were called. I would appreciate some oil, and salt and pepper dispensers at the tables. Every customer gets a card at the entrance, pays when leaving with it at the terminal inside of the restaurant, and then leaves with zero-balanced card that he leaves at the exit. What I liked was modern payment system - though an phone app. I believe that this might save some time for regular customers, even though it's not the fastest option for one time use, due to installation...

Hledal jsem v centru Brna nejakou kantynu na rychly obed a narazil jsem na tuto kuchyni asi 300 m od hlavniho nadrazi,Vankovka je pres cestu a autobusak taky kousek. Byl jsem na poledni menu cockova polevka a veprovy steak opekanymi bramborami a zampiony. Cena 39 polevka,157 steak. Prostredi,cistota a moderni zarizeni je spickove. Rad bych dal plny pocet,bohuzel ve finale me zajima jidlo a jak mi chutnalo. Polevce urcite chybela chut a hlavne teplota. Polevka musi byt varici,tato byla tepla a uz to neni ono. Druhe jidlo vypadalo i chutnalo lepe,bohuzel opet bych trochu pridal na teplote a dochutil. Jinak vzhled jidla krasny,personal ochotny a prijemny. Zakaznici jsou vesmes mladi slusne obleceni lide,tipuju z prilehlych technologickych firem,takze byste tu nemeli potkat zadne osuntele bezdomovce. Ceny jsou mirne vyssi,ale je to v centru mesta a jidlo odpovida spis vyssi kvalite nez rychlovkou pro moc hladovych krku. Vyber z hodne jidel. Nabidka jsou 2 denni menu,nejake tydenni menu,minutky na grilu,ryby a jine. Kdo je labuznik,tak si urcite vybere. Je treba zduraznit,ze hodnotim svou prvni navstevu a konkretni jidlo. Celkove hodnoceni muzu udelat az tak po 10ti navstevach. Jinak pokud zakaznik rekne,ze je polevka nedostatecne tepla a nedochucena,tak neni na miste,aby vedeni kuchyne reagovalo stylem,ze ja jsem ji vcera take jedla a prisla mi v poradku. Jako spravnou reakci ocekavam,ze se ten problem zacne hledat a pokud tu nedochucenost neciti nejaky vedouci,tak je to bohuzel spatne,protoze tim se pak tak chut asi nikdy nezlepsi. Je potreba dat zrejme ochutnat vice lidem. Ale pokud tu polevku chutnali ti 4 kuchari a nekdo z vedeni a vsem chutnalo,tak to opravdu nevim teda,nekde bude problem.
