Bar' Habla — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

English: Cluttered and junk furniture all over the place, fire hazards, and limited escape options if necessary. Tables and chairs stacked on top of each other, making it difficult to move around. Plastic plates and cutlery stored in a tin can with crushed tomatoes. Okay, what about the food? Nothing particularly tasty. It seems quickly thrown together, and I'm just not into communal dishes where everyone has to take from a shared plate with their own cutlery. Back to the food, let's say the cabbage that came out was completely burnt black on the surface but raw all the way through, soaked in a liquid whose taste I didn't appreciate. Then there were these standard "lobsters" deep-fried and served on a cabbage leaf with cheese on top. The seafood was so overcooked that only a crispy shell remained. The thinly sliced cold cuts were okay, but we were missing bread, which we only got as we were leaving the place. However, I must mention that this is my assessment, and I won't be coming back here. Others in my party thought it was "so good!" The guests sitting outside probably have a different perception of the ambiance. If you want to give the place a try and aren't focused on super tasty food, don't go inside; stay outdoors. I wouldn't recommend the place due to their food, but if you want to take a chance on safety, then the place is perfect.

Dansk: Rodet og skrammel møbler hulter til bulder, brandfælde og få muligheder for flugt hvis det skulle være nødvendig. Borde og stole står oven i hinanden, det er svært at røre sig. Tallerkner er af plast og bestik står i en tindåse flået tomater. OK hvad så med maden? Ikke noget specielt velsmagende mad. Det virker hurtig klasket sammen og så er jeg bare ikke til fælles fade hvor man hver i sær skal tage fra et fad med sit bestik. Tilbage til maden, eks det spidskål som kom ind, det var fuldstændig branket sort på stegefladen men eller rå hele vejen igennem, sølet ind i en væske som jeg ikke brød mig om smagen af. Der kom de der standart "hummer" friturestegte ind på et kålblad med ost over, skaldyret var så hårdt tilberedt, at det kun var en oversprød skal tilbage. Pålægget som var tynd skåret var OK, men der manglede brød og det fik vi da vi var ved at forlade stedet. Jeg skal dog nævne, at det her er min vurdering og jeg kommer her ikke igen. Andre i mit selskab syntes det var "så godt!" Gæsterne som sad uden for tænker jeg har fået en anden opfattelse af indretningen. Skal du prøve kræfter med stedet og ikke går efter super velsmagende mad, så gå ikke inden for, men bliv ude i det fri. Jeg ville ikke anbefale stedet grundet deres mad, men skal man opleve at tage en chance på sikkerhed, så er...

Terrible. As a Spaniard, this is NOT Spanish food. Beyond that, the taste was bad, the prawns with garlic had chunks or uncooked garlic, the mashed potatoes has a really off taste which we didn’t even finish, the bread in the dishes is more like a cracker (odd enough to not be able to dip sauces), the croquettes served were clearly frozen with no flavor made out of potatoes and covered in cheese (???) and the service started taking away our plates and glasses even when there were people sitting at the table who were not done with their drinks. And to culminate it all, the portions are RIDICULOUS

Weird and inconvenient system for a restaurant having to order at the counter and pay (as if it was a bar or fast food place).

Save your money. Not worth it. You’ll come hungry and...

Fantastic experience at bar habla on a friday night. We had a table inside and while there is not a lot of room to move around, it only adds to the incredible atmosphere in this cosy tapas bar. The food was sublime, (celeriac a standout) and we also loved the tuna and the cauliflower. Dishes a really interesting twist on tapas - they are not exactly spanish (e.g using soy sauce sometimes), but its a wonderful mix.

This is also one of the only places still taking orders at 10pm in the evening - rare to find in Aarhus.
