I am generously giving this place a two-star rating just because they gave us a free dessert after a series of negative experiences in just one night, including (1) internal communication breakdown within the staff on shift that night and the person behind the restaurantâs customer-facing email, (2) the noticeably rude behaviour of the staff at the front door, (3) the incompetent service of the person who simply handed us the menu and didnât bother explaining anything at all.
To start with, we messaged the place to inform that we were running 10-15 mins late, to which we promptly received a reply message that acknowledges our notice of being late. We received this email 1 minute before our original booking time.
Then when we arrived at the entrance well within the new ETA, we were told by Staff #1 that our table has been given to other customers. Also, when Staff #1 asked what name our booking was under and couldnât hear my response, I leaned forward and offered to spell it for her and she said abruptly âI know how to spell!â
Eventually, Staff #1 let us in after we convinced her that we would try to finish within an hour.
Staff #1 sat us in a table that was right on the high-traffic area, a far cry from the request we made from the original booking of âquiet table, preferably by the windowâ. She made my friend squeeze her tummy against the table just to let other waitresses through to serve the corner tables. This still puzzles me to this date because there were two empty similar-sized tables near us, exposed to far less traffic, and she didnât give them to us - this couldâve saved my friend from pressing her body against the table each time one of the waitresses pass through.
We ordered within 10 minutes of being given a table. Our order, however, took more than 35 mins to arrive. By this time, we only had 15 mins left to consume the main dishes, not to mention that we had also ordered a dessert.
As the main dishes got delivered to our table, we raised the fact to Staff #2 that we only had 15 mins left to eat the main dish. That same Staff #2 assured us that we could stay as long as we wanted, that she was the responsible waitress for our table that night and that we would get a free dessert. So we were happy about that and enjoyed ourselves.
An hour and a half later, a Staff #3 carrying our bill with her credit card scanning machine came to us and said that she wanted the table back in 10 mins. This was totally unexpected, we felt hurried and once again - it was an abrupt notice of being told very directly to wrap up our half-eaten dessert within 10 mins and leave. For me, this was a communication breakdown between Staff #2 and Staff #3 and quite disheartening.
Pros: Some staff were quite nice, specially Sofia. Free dessert after they messed up the booking. Huge servings. Delicious food.

   Read moreI was there with a friend on July 3rd, and we ordered an appetizer to share plus a main course each. My friend ordered the clams, and I got the Wienerschnitzel. While the staff was friendly when taking orders, they seemed to disappear after the food was served. No one came to check on us unfortunately because the schnitzel was not properly cooked and extremely tough. It was so bad I litterally lost my appetite and left the plate after only a few bites. When my friend was done eating, we finally managed to catch the waitress' and I took the opportunity to give feedback on the food as she asked. Although she was apologetic and agreed the food was not properly cooked, they offered only a 50% on my plate. I would honestly not expect to pay for food that I hardly touched. Especially not when they acknowledged there was a problem and that no one had bothered to check on us after serving the food. Min kÊreste fÄr blandt andet et smÞrebrÞd med steg, hvor en af tingene mangler, vi hiver igen fat i tjeneren, og spÞrger hvordan det kan vÊre at dette mangler. De var sÞrme lÞbet tÞr i kÞkkenet. (klokken var omkring 15.30)!! Det burde de mÄske have fortalt tjeneren sÄ denne vidste det pÄ forhÄnd. Da vi har betalt og pÄ vej ud, ser vi en kupon, ligge i indgangen, hvor er stÄr nogle tilbud, vi henvender os til tjeneren igen, og siger, hvorfor vi ikke var blevet gjort opmÊrksom pÄ disse tilbud, men fÄr smÊkket i hovedet at det skulle vi selv ha nÊvnt for at fÄ tilbuddet. Rimelig dÄrlig stil. Senere hen, har jeg sÄ fÄet at vide at kokkeeleven som var pÄ arbejde den dag, har gÄet brokket sig over mig (tilfÊldigvis til folk jeg selv kender). Grundet at vi har sat spÞrgemÄlstegn og brokket os over vores ting ikke var helt iorden.
vi vÊlger sÄ alligevel herefter at forsÞge os, ved jer igen til en gang frokost. igen meget hyggeligt, og sÞd tjenere. Jeg bestiller igen sild, og her mangler sÄ karry salaten. Hvordan man kan glemme det, nÄr der skal vÊre "sÄ lidt" pÄ sÄdanne tallerken, stÄr mig lidt uklart. Min kÊreste vÊlger igen, at prÞve et af jeres smÞrebrÞd, denne gang med roastbeef, hvor det ret tydeligt blev skÄret ud i pap, at der ikke mÄtte vÊre remoulade pÄ, men evt mayo. hun modtager hendes smÞrebrÞd, og der mangler de sprÞde lÞg!! woow.... og til hendes store overraskelse finder hun rester af remoulade i bunden. Virkelig dÄrlig stil, nÄr man udtrykkeligt har bedt om at det skal vÊre uden, og det blev godkendt fra kÞkkenets side. hun fÄr ikke et nyt, uden spor og rester af remoulade, men en skÄl med sprÞde lÞg ved siden af!
selvsamme kokke elev, har igen vĂŠret ude og ydtre sig, og han mener vi kun kunne brokke os, han har svinet en til og truet mig, til andre personer.
Efter denne gang ogsÄ, sÄ er det svÊrt at tage det helt seriÞst, og det er mÄske ikke stedet vi vÊlger igen til en god dansk frokost. Hvilket er jeg egentligt er trÊt af, da jeg synes, at de fleste af jeres kokke og elever er virkelig dygtige og kompetente. SÄ er det bare Êrgerligt at der er en fra holdet der skal trÊkke jeres team ned, bÄde pÄ at vÊre uprofessionel pÄ sit arbejde og i sin fritid, ved at gÄ og svine kunder Äbenlyst til, i en lille by som Aarhus.
Jeg vil da helst have undgÄet at skulle tage den offentlig, men eftersom det er sket gentagende gange, hvor jeg hÞre ude i byen at jeg bliver tilsvinet for at brokke mig, vÊlger jeg at tage den her, sÄ i kan se det fra min side.
Det skal jo ikke gÄ ud over mig, at han ikke kan finde ud af at putte alle (4 ud fra menukortet) komponenter pÄ tallerknen. Eller kan tÊnke sig selv til at man ikke spiser Bà DE kold silde tallerken pÄ samme tid som min varme...
