Harshest review i've had to write
Dalle Valle was an utter disaster - their disregard for detail and customer service was beyond appalling. I was enticed by the advertised brunch buffet of 59 kr, only to be charged 119 kr upon arrival. Worse yet, the vegan options were almost non-existent. The carrot salad was expired, smelling of yeast and tasted even worse. When I complained, the waiter dismissed me outright, refusing to acknowledge my concerns. The couscous salad was riddled with sand, which I could have overlooked, but two hard pieces caused me discomfort. When I showed the waiter one of the hard pieces, a pomegranate seed, she demanded that I produce both hard pieces for any action to be taken.
The service was terrible, and the staff seemed to have no regard for customer satisfaction. Dalle Valle's staff didn't even seem to know their own rules regarding discounts. They said I could get a 59 kr discount if I installed their app, but after I did, they changed the terms, insisting that I also had to purchase a drink to receive the discount. Then, they came back and told me that I couldn't get the discount at all, even though I had followed their rules. They claimed it was because they had already printed the receipt, but as someone with similar work experience, I know that excuse was complete nonsense, rude and unacceptable.
The experience left me feeling dissatisfied, frustrated, and insulted. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Instead, I urge you to look elsewhere, lest you suffer through the humiliation and poor food I...
Read moreThis is a review of the "corona-adapted" version of the restaurant. Experience may vary. We came here on a Friday, mostly because it's been a while. Dalle Valle has always been dull and uninspired pretty much no matter which way you look at it, but usually "good enough" for a quick meal. This time they've hit rock bottom. Their meat and fish was so overcooked that it was barely edible. Their salad buffet was reduced to maybe a third of their previous selection, and nothing looked appetising. The flavour was absent enough that I considered calling in a detective to chase it down. Surprisingly, the disappointment extended into areas you wouldn't expect: the fresh fruit tasted a bit like cardboard (I don't know how they managed to mess that up, there is fresh tasty fruit in Bilka just one floor below), and the draft beer was flat. There was one redeeming quality, though: the pizza baker. I suspect they hired him having seen the succes of the pizza bakery in the next-door Cypress buffet restaurant (which has a much nicer salad buffet and a good hummus as well) . Granted, the pizzas are good. Almost good enough to make up for the man's disgruntled face expression. This was probably...
Read moreWe went here for dinner twice during our 4 day trip to Copenhagen since our hotel didn't have a restaurant and there is not that many restaurants around.
The current offer of 2 for 1 for the dinner buffet for 199Kr if you also order drinks is an absolute bargain for what you get. (You need to download the app and inform your waiter before you order that you want to use the coupon.)
Ofc, this is not a 3 star Michelin dining experience but the food is solid with ample choice so that everyone will find something to their liking. There is also a good variety for vegetarians, lots of fresh salads and vegetables. Various meat dishes (beef, pork, chicken) and salmon. The sides were equally diverse (fries, rice, spaghetti, potatoes in different varieties like gratin or baked...). For dessert, there were fresh fruit, chocolate mousse and unlimited ice-cream.
I'd definitely go there again when...
