I just finished my 30th birthday dinner right now at your restaurant and I just had the worst birthday experience ever thanks to you.
Food - 50% of the food was TOO SALTY. We expressed this to the staff and they said there was nothing they could do. He even told us as if we were in the wrong that we should’ve told him earlier… as if we were in the wrong. But never in the dinner din any of the staff ask us how the food was - something which is normally expected of a fine dining restaurant.
Service - they got our order wrong and gave us the significantly more expensive dish (some sort of scam). We just tried to be nice and accept it because we didn’t want the food to go to waste
We asked several times to bring out my birthday cake just to have a simple picture (not to eat) but they said they will charge us for it and they never brought it out. We called for it several times but they never brought it out.
Surcharge - there was a 3% surcharge on the bill for paying using a foreign card but we were only made aware of it AFTER we swiped the card. Apparently there was a FINE PRINT that foreign cards will be charged extra which is the first time I’ve experienced this in Denmark! And it was written in very small print and not in view because the check envelope was blocking that part of the receipt. Anyone could have missed it!
After all of this, the I told the staff that this was my worst birthday ever, and they simply brushed it off without any empathy at all!
The food was also too expensive for what they are. So not worth the price I paid! The only good thing was probably the view.
I was only in Copenhagen for business / tourism for 2.5 days and this has been the worst part of my trip so far. And because of this experience I’m never going back. I hope you made your danish culture and hospitality proud.
Your staff said they hope they can improve when I come back but I don’t think I’m...
Read moreTerrible experience. Good view, but not spectacular. Food meh, nothing special. Service horrible. We were excited about the view, but that did not make up for the service. While the server was very attentive to other tables, we were ignored for 10 minutes after seating without a drink menu. I resorted to looking it up on their website. When someone (not our actual server) finally came to our table, I was told they were in a menu transition so did not have the cocktail I'd chosen. Ok, got the updated menu. They had not yet gotten in all of the items for the updated menu either, so opted for the special cocktail, which ended up tasting watered down. The salmon itself was decent, but very small. I do not care for potatoes so asked for a salad instead, no problem. But they served the potatoes anyways, and the salad was just lettuce. Not worth the price. Also brought us french fries we didn't order. We asked for the check, first time the server actually interacted with us, other than a lean back as she quickly walked by half-heartedly asking if we needed anything. The empty water pitcher on the table was a good indication...She then came back and asked if we wanted anything else. After just asking for the check. Watched her go to three other tables multiple times, telling the table next to us she was comping their wine because of the wait on their food. Ended up going to the front to get the check ourselves. The payment machine only accepted debit cards, asking for a PIN (we use CC internationally) and they seemed perplexed how to deal with it, but found another one that...

We were celebrating our 9 year anniversary at Silo. When we arrived it was chaotic. We were seated and asked the waiter if we had enough time to get the beef wellington as we had to go to the movies in 1,5 hours. She said no problem it takes 25 minutes to make. Great. Our waiter did not appear for 15 minutes after this interaction. So we asked someone else who was going to be our waiter. A third person came and took our order. We were seated in a form of hallway with almost no waiters coming by. After some time we received the beef tartar. Then nothing. We waited 30 minutes. We then asked the waiter if the food was on the way as we had to leave relatively soon. She said she would check. She never returned with an answer. After 45 minutes I got up and looked for a waiter. I asked if the food was coming. She checked with the kitchen and said 10 minutes. Then I said we were leaving – I simply did not believe her and I did not believe the kitchen.
In conclusion we had been at the restaurant for one hour and ten minutes and only received one beef tartar (which takes literally 5 minutes to plate if the meat is pre-minced). What they did for the entire hour is beyond me – the restaurant was not full.
Terrible experience. I had much higher expectations for a high-end restaurant – any restaurant for that matter. We ended up going to a fast food place and wolfing down a quick meal before our movie. Not a great 9 year anniversary.
If I could I would have...
