Restaurant Tio Marios — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Tio Mario's restaurant is just a few minutes' walk from the DFDS terminal and offers an Italian-inspired menu. The restaurant is small and has a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

The Italian-inspired menu featured pizza and pasta dishes, salads and a selection of hamburgers and steaks. The price level was within what is normal for this type of place in Copenhagen and the pizzas were between 10-16 EUR. The place also had a good selection of beverages and drinks.

The food was quickly served, was nicely presented and tasted excellent. The ingredients used seemed to be fresh and of good quality.

The staff were very friendly and service minded and we were well looked after during the meal and received a nice closing comment and a smile when we left the place.

Can’t really understand why you’d give it 5/5 stars. It certainly wasn’t exceptional. If you pay 19 euros for a pizza I’m expecting big things. Instead what we got was a fairly small pizza with each one perfect circles. It almost makes you think they are not hand made but frozen/pre bought pizza bases where they add their own toppings/twist. They def had that Pizza Hut taste. Anyway the meal was mediocre at best. The service although friendly was hit and miss. They had to change the barrel for the beer and said it will take a bit longer, it never came and I asked for them to remove it from the bill which they did without issue and at least offered an apology. Would I go back, no, almost 70 euros for 4 small not home made pizzas, two glasses of water and a glass of red wine. You can spend that kind of money...

I think this was by far the best quality of food for its price I had traveling through the city of Copenhagen. Glad I found this little gym tucked away near the mermaid statue. A perfect trip to the mermaid statue on the bikes you can rent followed by a meal here-hint hint the pizza or seafood pasta- calls for a glass of wine and a satisfying way to end the day. When asked if you want the house bread say YES. It is absoluteoy delicious. The food hear resemebles dishes you would get in Italy flawlessly so if you're craving some 🇮🇹 Italian food you have to give this place a try.
