Zio & Nonna — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Absolutely strange and ridiculous behaviour by male server! Told girlfriend he knew me personally and saw me visit with another girl. I went alone to purchase a tiramisu to go, it comes in glass which were to be returned, no problems there. The next day, my girlfriend goes to return the glass by herself. She is met by a server that says: "I know your boyfriend". Rather confused, girlfriend responds "I highly doubt that" To which the server counters with: "I do, he came in yesterday to buy tiramisu, right? I have seen him with other girls here before".

We are still puzzled by this encounter and will never return there again. We just recently moved to the neighbourhood, living just 50 meters from the restaurant and have only been dining there once before. Such a horrible experience. Tiramisu was average at best.

We live close to the restaurant and we came with big enthusiasm to try out the Italian restaurant but we left extremely disappointed. Service was very slow, the waiter barely took our order, 20 min of waiting for this, we waited another 30 min to get an appetizer, the Caprese salad which was a disappointed as there were only 2 slices of tomato and the burata. Another 40 min of waiting for 2 pasta dishes that were extremely salty, couldn’t eat it and kindly gave a feedback on this. A positive thing, the bread was good. Pizza was very nice and the staff were pleasant. Prices are reasonable and it's apparently family-owned, which is always a bonus. My only complaint is the Cola Zero was served in a laughably small 25 cL bottle.

Perhaps that's the standard for a regular serving in Copenhagen but most places seem to let you pick a 50 cL option. I looked online to see whether the menu indicated its size and it says 33 cL for take-away and nothing for eat-in.

'Tis a mystery what you're supposed to get, but the take-away 33 cL is priced the same so perhaps the owners should fix this. I haven't docked a star for this if only because it's probably a cultural thing and frankly who cares this much about the missing 8 cL...
