Our Experience at Sukaiba:

We were led to a table that was nicely set, but instead of wine glasses, we found champagne glasses. We ordered sparkling water but received still water. The next surprise was a broken water glass, which made us cautious while drinking until we returned it to the service staff. It was replaced promptly.

We ordered three courses (starter, main course, dessert, and a cocktail). The starter was prepared beautifully, and the kitchen did a good job. The wine was served properly, allowing us to taste it before our glasses were filled. The main course was cod, cooked perfectly, with nothing to complain about. The dessert was my favorite of the three dishes and surpassed the previous two.

Even when someone in the kitchen dropped a plate, the team remained calm, and the atmosphere quickly returned to normal. The open kitchen gave a glimpse into their professionalism—no signs of stress, no shouting, and everyone stayed composed and focused, even handling the broken plate situation with ease. The kitchen did a fantastic job, redeeming some points lost by the service team.

Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The toilets were dirty, there were broken glasses, and three different people served us—a lack of consistency that detracted from the experience. It would appear more professional if one waiter were assigned to each table or at least took the lead.

The ambiance, however, was good. The music was calm and relaxing, the lighting was pleasant, and the view was exceptional. The staff did accommodate my request for a pen, which added a small positive point to the overall service. However, the restaurant does not sell cigars, and the smoking lounge is more suitable for cigarette smokers. It’s not ideal for cigar enthusiasts unless you prefer sitting side by side, looking out the window, and enjoying the view without much interaction.

To sum up: The price is too high for the overall package. The service does not align with the premium pricing, and being told it was “last call” at 22:40 when the restaurant officially closes at 00:00 felt strange. With only four tables occupied at that time, it was evident they wanted to wrap up early. Without the great view, we wouldn’t have chosen this restaurant.

The kitchen team, on the other hand, performed excellently and justified the pricing alongside the ambiance (view, lighting, music, open kitchen, and the calm, cozy atmosphere). However, more attention should be given to toilet cleanliness, and instead of stacking three rolls of toilet paper on top of each other, regular checks every two hours would be better.

Without the well-educated and structured kitchen team, this restaurant would be better suited as a regular bar with a...

My boyfriend and I had a weekend at the Bella Sky, the first night we went up to the bar for a drink and it was amazing the service was top notch and the drinks tasted great. This made us want to reserve a table for dinner the following night. We looked at the menu and it seemed ok priced. But when we came the following night the waiter told us they recommended at least 5 main dishes to be “full” or they had their 5 course menu for a bit less. We felt a bit trapped so went for the 5 courses and decided to splurge on ourselves. We also ordered oysters which were fresh and tasted great however, the waiter offered that we could replace our first drink that corresponded with the menu for a glass of champagne. We later found out we were charged for this. Anyways, there was 40 minutes from the oysters to our first course of the menu! Unacceptable! Our table was for 8pm and no one checked on us at all. We were hopeful that the food would be good but it was honestly very disappointing, it lacked flavor, creativity, and style. No waiters asked us how the food was. We were so hungry at that point that we ate the food but it was not enjoyable. I even had to find a waiter and ask for salt for the appetizer. The dessert was the most disappointing, it felt like a joke to us. Absolutely no flavor. At this point we were frustrated, my boyfriend found a waiter and said we weren’t satisfied with out meal. The waiter asked why we were just saying this now and if we were just searching for a free meal, this was not the case but we should have been offered a discount. My boyfriend informed the waiter that we haven’t said anything because no one has asked. They have only rushed away with the plates (some which still had food on them, because we disliked them so much). We were given a drink each in hopes that it would solve everything. I had read someone else complained about long wait times but hoped that it was just some angry person and that it would be a great experience. Each round we waited and hoped the next dish would be something that was actually good. I think they need to take a serious look at their quality, menu,...

Updated review after visiting again in March 2025, which was rather disappointing. First, the welcome desk was unmanned, so we had to walk into the restaurant and wait in an awkward spot before anyone came to talk to us and get us seated. Then the dinner itself was not impressive at all. The starters were the worst part of the meal, even though usually startes are my favourites. The salmon tartare was made with smoked salmon, the dumplings would have been much better with a sauce on the side, and the papadums were rather oily. The main was better and the dessert was rather good, but not enough to lift the overall experience. The food generally felt like it was made by someone who has seen fine dining and tries to go for that, but not very successfully. The tastes were mostly bland and while some combinations were creative, they did not go well together. The staff was nice and service was good, although a bit on the slow side. The restaurant itself is nice, but the music was rather loud and more fit for a party than for a cozy dinner. Overall, I found the experience far from impressive and heavily overpriced. (Review from first visit below) The restaurant looks nice and modern and the food is fresh. We tried the brunch buffet and were pretty satisfied with the price and quality (295 kr in Feb 2020 for brunch including coffee, water and a cocktail). The only reason I'm rating it 4 and not 5 is that the dining room, kitchen and bar seemed understaffed. The waiters were nice, but despite doing their best, they could barely manage.
