This is a review from my firet visit to Elippa: I have always low expectations when it comes to Lebanese restaurants in Denmark. But this one surprised me. I would say currently the most authentic Lebanese restaurant in Copenhagen and Denmark. There are a few glitches though such as toum (garlic sauce) with the shawarma instead of taratour (tahini sauce) but still real good taste. My favourite was the arayes, tawouk and hummos. Really excellent. This will be the place i recommend whenever asked about a Lebanese restaurant in Copenhagen. Caracalla lost its first spot, even though Caracalla's tabbouleh is better than Elippa's somewhat more dry version.
They also have Lebanese wine sold by the bottle which is not so common in Arabic restaurants in Copenhagen.
This is a review from my second visit to Elippa: This is my second visit to Elippa and second review here. Elippa has maintained it's quality since last visit. Everything was really good, especially again the arayes. All guests at the table loved them and said it was the favourite. I have two comments though. The shawarma and falafel laffeh come with garlic dressing which is not how the authentic version is. But luckily you can ask for Elippa dressing (tahini dressing) and then they become authentic with excellent taste. My other comment is concerning the tabbouleh which I consider one of the pillars of a mezzeh. Unfortunately the first time and second time the tabbouleh had no taste and was too dry. The vegetables are there and fresh and all, but the correct seasoning is missing, and in a tabbouleh, the seasoning is the other half of the salad. No Lebanese mother would consider this an authentic tabbouleh. I think next time i will explicitly ask for extra lemon juice and olive oil in it. I will however still give Elippa 5 stars because the experience was great and all the other dishes where great. The service also deserves praise. Really nice, attentive and ambitious waiters. This is definitely still the best Lebanese restaurant in town.
Very excited to see how it...
Read moreAfter reviewing the Bella Center in Copenhagen — where I mentioned that there are some very good restaurants and bars nearby — I have to say Elippa Restaurant is definitely one of them.
This is a lovely Lebanese restaurant just a few minutes away from the Bella Center. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming — really outstanding service from the moment we arrived. The place itself is very nice, with the option to sit outside when the weather is good. And even if it’s a bit chilly, they provide heated chairs, blankets, and outdoor heaters — which I really appreciated.
As for the food, Lebanese cuisine is always about sharing, and here they suggest ordering three dishes per person to share. To be honest, for us it turned out to be a bit too much for lunch — we were three people and ordered nine dishes, and it was probably more than enough! Portions are not oversized, but absolutely fair and well-balanced.
Every single dish we had was delicious — I asked for recommendations since I’m not an expert in Lebanese food, and I really enjoyed every choice. The flavors were rich and varied, maybe even too varied if you order too many different things, but that’s part of the experience.
Overall, we were very happy with our lunch — I would definitely recommend booking in advance because the place was quite busy, and we were lucky to find a table as a group of three.
A perfect spot for a lunch break during a busy day at the Bella Center, especially if you want to try something different and tasty after a morning full of meetings or...

As middle eastern, I was super excited to see this place open up. Unfortunately, the prices didn't match the quality of the food we got.
For the price of the Humus, I expected it to be homemade at the restaurant, but it's the same Humus you buy at the supermarket, not handmade and filled with persevering ingredients.
The flatbreat... You can feel and taste that it's not freshly made. Ours was like it was prepared 3 days ago.
Hallumi fries were great!
But the biggest disappointment... The Knafeh. I don't know what fusion that was, but it felt like it was microwaved and the Kadaif was almost not there and it wasn't crunchy at all.
The drinks are SUPER overpriced compared to the rest of Copenhagen. A glass of Frozen lemonade for 75 dkk?! It's without alcohol, shouldn't be priced above 60. If I need to guess based on the rest of the food, it's also probably just using concreted elderflower juice from the supermarket instead of actually making it.
Hope to come again when things become better and the Humus will...
