This restaurant is just opposite to the building where I live. After being a first-time parent, we decided to go for a Friday date night here as it's close to our house. We were greeted nicely and offered a cozy place where we could carry our pram. We ordered Nachos and beers and then also decided to go for a vegetarian burger even though we were slightly in doubt (also this place has very very few vegetarian options).
So far, all good but suddenly the waitress comes and ask us exactly this - "Can I take your plates", "Are you done eating?" I was so offended as I was literally chewing food that time. I said okay, take it away!
Later, I realized I should correct her and may be offer some tips to improve customer service. I simply told her that I find it rude that you interrupted this way and also could you not see that I was chewing. To this she replied - sorry Sir your knife and fork were in the closed position, and I was like, could you not see me chewing my food? Then I asked her, what time do you close on Friday (I knew the closing time is 11 pm and she interrupted us at 9.30 pm itself) and she told me that there are very few people today so her Manager told her to close the restaurant/ bar earlier.
My mood and first date night after pregnancy were already ruined and I asked her can you ask your manager Simran to come and talk to us and she replied sorry Sir he can't come for this kind of discussion but you can email him.
Well, that's my story, and I hope you all can seek some inspiration about the kind of service offered here. Hope they can take teh feedbacks seriously as already many people have reported very bad service feedback even though this restaurant is hardly...
Read moreWe decided to eat here despite some of the telling negative reviews given the lack of options in Ørestad and honestly wish we would have avoided. I am usually skeptical of places whose menu can't decide what it wants to be, with a handful of items ranging from French to Danish to Indian, but was hoping to be surprised.
The food was extremely subpar for overly inflated prices. My wife's croque madame was overly fatty, salty, with very thick slices of lackluster and quite dry bread. My omelette was ok, but quite small portion of overcooked, spongy eggs and 2 small slices of sourdough bread that seemed like they were picked up at the next door Føtex. Both dishes were lacking both substance and sustenance and aside from the main component, were both just given a handful of undressed and partially wilted lettuce.
Unfortunately the worst part was the pancakes. They were really quite unflavourful and tasted more of prepackaged pancakes than freshly made ones, which if they were fresh, is still not a great sign.
This was the first time in a very long time that my wife didn't l finish her food not because she was full, but because she couldn't stomach it, and the first time ever even my gluttony was at bay to want to devour the leftovers.
Personally I felt the decor was outdated and also feel turned off by big signs at the front counter warning that bathroom use is for paying customers only. That, along with the food, matches unfortunately the sort of places you usually are welcome with such signs at.
I hope the place can improve because it's a nice little corner with huge potential that I could have seen myself frequenting very often had the...
Read moreA India-face woman looks like a restaurant manager led us to seat and go through menu with us so I thought she is nice at the beginning. I ordered a full set of brunch for myself, a pancake and a coffee for my friend. My friend want the juice (included in brunch set) so I offered to him and I had that coffee. However, the woman said food sharing is not allowed but she showed her “generosity” to “allow” switching drinks between me and my friend. I am choked at that moment and don’t know what to say. I am not sure if she is showcasing some Michelin 3-star standard to us. If yes, I wonder why there is a baby kept crying aside, why we were led to bar stool while there are many empty dinning tables, why they set water glasses but never asked if we want water and why that woman kept hanging around with her hands in pockets.
Actually food is not bad except the fruit platter, but I was never told that food sharing is prohibited in a common dining restaurant. I ordered set meal plus one dish and one drink for two people as breakfast. If it doesn’t reach minimum charge for table of two, I should be informed about the exact amount of minimum spending. The experience in this restaurant makes me feel weird, disappointed...
