Burgerklubben — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

I was in doubt whether or not I should give this place 2 or 3 stars.

I had to go with only two because as I was writing this they just made the experience worse.

The burgers are incredible mediocre. Dry patty, cold and build by amateurs.

The pickles are filled in the bottom so that the burger is impossible to hold without the patty sliding off. The burger we had was called Grilled Cheeseburger “the best cheeseburger you’ve ever had”. It’s was just a normal cheeseburger with not enough dip. So I had to ask for extra ketchup.

The tables have no sauce on them. Even the ketchup had been removed. So, they charge you for a tablespoon of ketchup- and not a small amount or anything, they charge you around 1,5$!

And let’s talk about the so called halal concept. Turkey bacon in a already dry burger?

Loaded French fries had this weird orange ‘cheesy’ thing on them that tasted like old socks. Had to send them back as soon as we got them on the table.

The regular fries that I asked for instead came after we were done with our dinner.

Oh, the hot wing were alright I guess…

The two young girls serving us treated us really kindly.

Misleading menu and poor cooking skills. Thats's my two takeaways from that place. First off, 3 or 4 burgers had something they called "veal bacon" (must be from a new mythological creature. Bacon comes from a pig - End of story!), but luckily many others had regular "bacon" - at least according to the menu. A quick dialogue with the waitress determined that this was a lie. All their "bacon" (let's just be real and call it thin slices of veal) was from young cows. Okay. No big problem, but maybe don't lie to, or mislead, your customers with your menu. Second off, I asked the waitress for a medium rare beef burger patty. She required a bit of elaboration on this concept, and explained that they had what she described as "medium, but on the red side". So I ordered just that. It came back dead. Well done, would be my terminology. Furthermore, the bun (I tried the dark/wholegrain one) was a pretty lackluster. Plain boring and crumbly texture. The rest was on par, and the service friendly, but with at least one other (and far superior) burger restaurant within shouting distance, this is not a place that I will...

We came 45 minutes before closing time on a Friday. By all accounts it should be filled with people but we were the only ones there. That was surprising. But considering their prices it kinda makes sense. Almost 500 kr for two people for just a burger menu and a drink does not make sense. Yes the burger was good. But it's a burger, not a steak. Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but the price is the only reason I could never rate this 5 stars. That and the fact that you seemingly cannot just order a burger, you HAVE to order a burger menu. If Google added a price rating I would up the rating of the above things to 5 stars and the price rating would be 3. Tldr: food good, service fine, prices high, obligation...
