Mahalle — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

It was an awful experience, I’ve booked a table for a big group of people through several mails exchanged for the new year’s eve, establishing the time, a fixed menu and of course the number of people. When we arrived they told me they haven’t enough space for everyone, and we had to stand for almost an hour before being sited because they didn’t seemed interested to find a solution to the problem they caused. Then the “solution” found was to force some guests to get up and go away (that clearly didn’t reserve a table like us). Then the management of the dinner has been even worst, they started to take food without having set the table (no plates, no cutlery, no glasses, no water, no tissues) and we had to ask for each of them, because otherwise they were going on taking food to the table… i wonder how we were supposed to eat that without all of this stuff. Then I openly asked a discount for all the discomfort they caused, and they agreed. The food was good, but the employees were not smart and interested at all to solve all of this. This also caused the need to eat everything very quickly in order to not miss the midnight, and we had to rush to do everything after because of the big delay of the dinner. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. An absolute disappoint to the Lebanese cuisine, I have had authentic Lebanese food and even some very good less authentic versions. This didn’t ed en come close to that. The options were limited, the chicken we ordered was old and had a stale taste. I wouldn’t go back there. The service was slow and poor. The interior had some resemblance of Middle Eastern vibe to it and that’s probably the best thing to say about the restaurant. The food in itself is not worth the money.

The chicken dish I had was Chicken Makloubeh. The reason why I said that there were limited options is because it’s typically starters and very less main course meat options which is very unlike a typical Lebanese Middle Eastern cuisine.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Very disappointed.

I was excited to bring visitors to this restaurant, especially after a great experience at another location. We made a reservation for October 4th at 19:30 for four people, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed with a note on the door: “We had a water damage. We are closed.”

There was no email, text, or phone call to inform us, despite having our contact details through the reservation. We weren’t the only group left standing outside, confused and frustrated.

Is this how you treat customers? Especially those who took the time to make a reservation? A simple message would have saved us the hassle of showing up to a closed restaurant and scrambling to find another place at 8 PM on a Friday night when everything is already fully...
