It is definitely a value conscious hotel. We paid $200 per night (which is below average in Coppenhagen), so were not expecting a 5 star hotel. The rooms are exceedingly small (~130 sq. ft) for a 4 person room. There is no storage space for luggage and the bathroom doubles as a shower. You must squeegee the floor after a shower so no one slips when they use the washroom. Our first night we woke up at 1 a.m. unable to sleep because of the heat (there is no A/C) and our window only opened 5 cm. We walked outside at 1 a.m. to get some fresh air and saw that some rooms had their windows wide open. TID-BIT: there is a small latch that requires a device or tiny fingers to flip so you can open the window. No one told us about it, but we eventually figured out where and how. ||There is no housekeeping, so don't expect your bed to be made, fresh linens, nor regular fresh towels. In a 4 night stay, we had one set of towels provided to us. ||The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is probably the hallmark of the hotel. They have a map of the area and are very good at providing recommendations of places to eat or visit. ||The location is another positive attribute, as it's in walking distance to the Forum metro line, Tivoli garden, and the City Hall. It is also in walking distance to the Rosenborg Castle, the Christiansburg Palace, and Amalienborg. ||I would not recommend for a family larger than 2-3 people with luggage, as it's too cramped with little space for storage or moving around comfortably. If you do end up going, I would recommend staying on the 1st floor in the summer or hotter months, as the lack of AC can make it very hot in the rooms. The best part of our visit was the front desk staff and...
Read moreRoom very hot, staff confirm no air conditioning but give you a broken desk fan if you can find space for it on the mini desk in the room. |2. Bedroom for 3 was so very small, a safety hazard with the ladder that hung off the upper bunk bed. Not a place for adults. |3. Shower constantly smelly even when we arrived, has no fan, exhaust or window so steams a lot and stays wet inside unless you open the bathroom door which takes up all of the space in the room with the ladder. |4. Electricity in the room turns off unless you keep the main light on. So for us to charge our phones while we slept, the lights had to stay on. |5. Uncomfortable all around. Yes it's cheap in an expensive country like Denmark but overall not a good experience. Not even enough space to change your clothes.|6. Little to no WiFi in the room, see screenshot. We asked staff and each evening they would repeat the same nonsense about a router technician?! We gave up. Others were camping outside bedrooms in the corridor to try and get WiFi signal...
Read moreThe quality-price for this hotel is really bad. Expensive really for what you found.
First of all, the bathroom is really small, there's no separation with the shower, except for a bath curtain. The WC smell was revolting, it seems that they never clean it properly. They even leave a floor wiper in the bathroom, because after taking a shower is a mess, so you need to clean it up.
Secondly, I couldn't adjust the heater in the room. I reported that it was kind of cold there, specially at night and they replied me that it's central heating but they were going to check my room. I didn't notice any difference.
The Internet service was very good, no complaints at all. The breakfast offered is just a continental that doesn't worth what they ask for, you'll find better options outside.
Finally, just one day the beds were not made. So to sum up, I cannot recommend this place, especially taking into account the price. Maybe, an Airbnb would've been a...
