Om Indian — Restaurant in Helsingør Municipality

EDIT: I'VE LOWERED THIS REVIEW TO 2 STARS BECAUSE OF THE OWNER'S POMPOUS RESPONSE. Implying I don't know good Indian food when I eat it. Do you know how many Indians/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis live in NYC and New Jersey?!? 😆 I was being charitable in giving you 3 stars.

We joked "This is the best Indian food we've had in Denmark!" 😂 It was also the only Indian food we had during our 10 day trip. We are certainly not new to Indian food. There's a ton of it in NYC and we have it regularly. People gave it a 4.8 stars on Google at the time of this writing which says a lot about their taste buds. Hint: Danes aren't known for their foods.

(ALSO On further examination of the reviews we see they are mostly written by people with 1 or 2 reviews. Read into that what you will. I HATE when places try to jack up their ratings with bogus reviews.)

Yesterday we tried this restaurant for the first time. It's 6 months old joint & attracting a lot of crowd because of great food quality and chef's hospitality. Chef was warm welcoming, smiling and ready to accommodate our taste buds. We tried couple of chicken dishes. Butter chicken was one of best so far I tried in Copenhagen. Found Indian roti/chapati (freshly made & served) in restaurant, felt great! We requested for Indian spice level & it was perfect match for real Indian food memories. Prices were decent. We look forward to try his other specialities. Location is exactly in the main square (walking shopping street area) and walkable from Helsingør station - a must try if plan to visit Kronborg or somewhere nearby. Will definitely...

If you like Indian food, please do yourself a favor and go there. It's the best Indian food I've had in Denmark in a restaurant and I ate many places. I'm very picky when it comes to food and I'm a chef and half indian my self. Normally I get disappointed when I go out and eat especially Indian food. This is the first review I ever write because this place really deserve it. It may not look like anything speciel, but the love and passion for food is deeply felt in the room and food.
