Unkai — Restaurant in Hillerød Municipality

This a slight rant and a review of in the moment experience, the foods great, fresh, flavourful and overall yum, however! We came when it started getting really busy so the waiting time for dishes was a bit ridiculous, and we did get forgotten pretty often because of new large groups of people arriving after us. I wish they added descriptions of the dishes as well as I wish they added the option to leave comments to kitchen (example my partner is weak to spice and they did put chilly powder and spicy mayo on basically everything). Staff was nice but they needed to be reminded to bring some stuff you ordered (but this I can excuse because it was busy and there were only 2 waitresses). It was also my first time so this is a first time review. Ill be keeping the 3 stars for now, if I do return then ill see if I can give it a better score, but for now this is my experience and I hope they hire more staff...

Add a few bucks to upgrade your edamame to spicy … meaning a few spurts of sriracha and some sesame seed sprinkles accompanied by a lemon shard that has been working overtime this week.

Yet this is a brilliant place!

From a taste point of view I have zero complaints. Great food. Fish looks, smells and tastes fresh. Arrangement on the plate is nice. Place is buzzing. Pick-ups are a-plenty.

Service is Bruce Lee quick and to the point.

They offer Asahi, Sapporo, Iki and Kirin on bottle, which in itself is way beyond most Izakays or Sushi bars in the Nordics.

Honestly my first (and mandatory) stop next time in this neck of the woods.

One piece of advice though, ditch the Lucky Buddha. What a horrible...

Ok - they are pretty popular - more so than their small kitchen can keep up with. Ad libitum is a nice offer and not excessively expensive - but not particularly cheaper than if we bought what we normally would for a sushi dinner. Our first order took over 30 minutes to arrive. Our second was so long in coming that we ended up ordering a third to make sure we received it before our table time was up. The second and third orders arrived together almost 45 minutes after the second order and we did manage to eat them without too much stress. Quality was...
