Just had a terrible experience at this place. The flautas were just decent. I ordered a mango Milkshake, but it was AWFUL. Worst mango shake I have ever tasted, and I always get mango shakes at any restaurant I go to... I took just Two sips of it. The first one was to try it. The second one was me giving it a second chance to make sure it wasn't drinkable.
I brought up the concern to a waitress and as I was very calmly explaining the situation, the other waitress storms in to the conversation and says "what is going on here?" In a rude manner..
She was unprofessional and rude. They insisted that I "drank half of it", even though I explained that I only drank from it twice, and it seemed like a decent amount was missing because the top part of the glass was very skinny compared to the rest of the glass.
No "sorry", no replacement was given, no nothing. Just some uncalled for attitude.
The experience left a terrible taste in my mouth, figuratively And Literally because of that drink..
Suggestion to the restaurant: next time a customer gives feedback on a bad tasting product, don't escalate the tone of the conversation. Be humble enough to admit that you did...
Read moreWell, the food was ok, but the overall experience was really bad.
First, the waitress took the order (which in itself was a mission) and 5 minutes later another one came to double check. Fine.
Second, they completely messed up the order and brought the wrong food which we ate (not experts in Mexican food). The owner told me he won’t charge me for the messed up items. Ok, so far so good.
Third, the check was not discounted ( I am ok to pay for the food we ate but the owner…) but also it was wrong. Ok, they brought the right one.
Fourth, I asked about 18% and 10% additional charge and the owner proudly announced that he is paying 18% federal tax and 10% local tax. I look up this information online on the spot and find out that the 10% tax is actually the service fee. Lol, the owner lied about the information easily checkable online. That is pretty impressive.
The cherry on the top was the owner’s declaration that he was doing this business for 15 years. Well, may be he did but never actually learned how to do it properly.
Wishing you...
Read moreWe had dinner here on a Friday night and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. People were friendly and welcoming and there was good parking. I liked the outdoor seating too.
We had limonadas which were really wonderful! I could drink those all day. The chips and guacamole were good. Some of us had the ceviche and liked that.
I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were okay but not great--a little greasy and not sizzling like fajitas are typically. They were kind of limp. Others had the mozzarella cheese slab rolled around meat (the arrechera) and I think it would have been good if it hadn't been overcooked. A great idea but the execution was a little off. Others had the camaron tacos and the nachos and thought they were pretty good.
I know this is a popular place so maybe it was an off day. The drinks and chips were really good! With water and drinks and entrees we spent under $50 including tax and tip so it's...
