Supermercado Ciccolella — Local services in Higüey

I am delighted to share my review of the wonderful neighborhood supermarket that I recently visited. This supermarket is truly a gem, offering everything that a family could need for a vacation, including a wide variety of toys, food items, fresh vegetables and fruit, and an extensive selection of pasta, meats, cheeses, and sundry items.

Upon walking into the store, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the aisles. The shelves were well-stocked and easy to navigate, with clearly labeled signs that made finding what I needed a breeze. The staff members were also incredibly friendly and helpful, offering assistance whenever I needed it.

One of the things that really stood out to me about this supermarket was the quality of the food items available. The vegetables and fruit were fresh and vibrant, and the meats and cheeses were of exceptional quality. I was particularly impressed by the selection of pasta, which included a wide range of shapes and varieties to choose from.

In addition to the food items, the store also had a great selection of toys for children of all ages. It was a relief to be able to pick up some fun items for my kids while doing my grocery shopping. And with so many other sundry items available, it was easy to grab everything I needed in one convenient stop.

I was able to sustain myself the two weeks while in the area. Reasonable selection of products. Prices are a little high. Like even in America we only pay maybe $2.00, for Pringles. There expect to pay over $3.00. However, I was happy to shop there and cook at my Airbnb, because the restaurants in the area were way overpriced. I'm sorry, maybe as foreigners traveling can afford it, but growing up poor you know the value of your money and nobody likes to be taken advantage of while visiting other countries. Not a large selection of goods but has all the basics that you will need. They also sell some tourist items. I would recommend buying things like Mama Juana, cigars, and chocolates here since they are reasonably priced compared to the tourist traps along the beach. Service is slow and if you want anything from the deli counter you have to speak up and ask. I have noticed that if you don't speak up in this culture you will not be served.
