This was a nice hotel. My room was a suite. Best room I have ever stayed in. I think the reason this place was such a good deal right now was because of all the remodeling and renovation. It was non stop. In fact, workers were the only people I ever saw on the property. I never saw any other guests the whole 4 days I stayed. There is also some confusion on what the name is? The locals seem to know it as the 365 club, my booking said Bavaro hotel cortecito, and Google maps has it as 365 club and Punta Cuna dream suites. I had a very difficult time finding the location upon my initial arrival. Best idea is to just get picked up and dropped off at the Vista Sol right next door. All the drivers know that place. Front desk staff speaks good English, but still had a hard time understanding a lot of things I asked him. Security guards speak zero English and it was frustrating trying to have a conversation with them. They also were very stingy about letting anyone in, even if they ate with a guest (me) so I had a really hard time with that. The location sucks if you want to go into town, and its 40 minutes from the airport. You will have to Uber everywhere (unless you have pesos then you can catch a taxi from the locals) but the beach is less than 1000 feet away, and you are surrounded by nice resorts. Plenty of mini markets within walking distance, 2 ATMs within walking distance, hotel bar out...
Read moreIt’s a good spot that might be a little cheaper and doesn’t shackle you to all inclusive restaurants. There are plenty of walkable restaurants and variations on great food in the area plus you get a little more of a cultural experience—mostly walking distance. We were super disappointed that the beach restaurant was closed for remodeling and much of the hotel was being remodeled. I wish that it was clear before our stay. There was a small bar next door that serves great drinks, but limited on food on the beach. There’s security but we did have some random drunk guy knocking on the door at 3 am and was a little nerve racking. Winston the security guard was great! Views are limited from some buildings but we still were happy to see the ocean. Don’t expect to get many restaurant or bar choices on the beach since the all-inclusives dominate the area....
Read moreThe absolute worst hotel I’ve ever been in. We walked in and immediately realized our room had already been opened, and the door was left cracked once we settled in. We took a shower in cold water and then when we got in the bed, we realized there were bedbugs. We have been trying to get a refund since June because we immediately left the hotel the very next day however, the hotel does not have an actual reception desk nor does it have a legitimate phone number, save your money and go somewhere else. This place is a scam and...
