Go there! I've been traveling the world, but haven't found a place so far, that unites all my preferences that much.
The owners are super lovely and funny and give you a feeling of being really welcome.
The guests in the restaurant/bar are mostly the alternative crowd of Cabarete who once came for holidays and then stayed. Great, arty and interesting people from around the world. There are locals as well, but again, it's the alternative crowd, which I really love.
It's a restaurant in the evening and then turns slowly into a bar where you hear great music and dance. Wednesday they have a jam session where everyone is allowed to join the stage and Fridays they have live music. The energy in this place is great and everyone dances.
Now to the food: óle to the chef The owners are spanish, but man, they really know how to make a great pizza. It's funny, I really usually don't like pizza, but this one is amazing. They worked in different countries as pizza bakers and really know what they are doing. And of course the wood oven does the rest and you have a beautiful thin, crispy and tasty pizza. For the price? 2 for 1, so we ended up paying for 2 pizzas 450 pesos, which equals 9USD. Simply great.
Oh, and Not to forget, I loooove sitting comfortably, says, I need a sofa in a good bar...they got a massive and beautiful, super comfortable one in the corner, so you can sit, eat and watch the scenery.
Did I say already that I love this place? :-)
And last but not least of course the drinks: Fresh juices, coke and so on cost 50 pesos, but you can add rum, then it's 150pesos. For beer they offer Bohemia, Presidente and "German Beer" in different sizes between 100 and 150 pesos. To be honest, more I don't remember because then I got distracted by the lovely owners, but for sure they have cheap Longdrinks and cocktails too.
So, if you are in Cabarete, definitely go there, you will love it.
The fotos I've added are unfortunately in really bad quality, but I hope it gets you a feeling of the place.
About the opening hours: The Pizza story starts at 6pm, but during the week they have to close at 12pm, so make sure you come early enough, not to miss the jam session. Fridays they are open until...

Read moreWe've been here A LOT of times the pizza is always good but the music often too loud. Tonight the music was literally just noise and strange sounds. It was beyond ridiculously loud. Horrible. The place was virtually empty.... so I don't know if it was a low season scramble for cash or if we just never noticed it before. When we got the bill we saw they charged us 75 pesos per box to take our leftovers home and 375 pesos for added jalapeños on 2 pizzas.... thats over $6. While the money isn't life changing the absolute lack of customer appreciation was. Typical thinking here "step over a dollar to pick up a dime" We wont...
