Visiting my fiancé for a couple of weeks and we decided to dine at this nice looking restaurant since it was right below the AirBnb that I was staying at. I ordered the peppered steak. Not bad tasting, a little too peppery but I guess that's that it is suppose to taste like? Lol anyway, 15 minutes after eating that steak I would experience the most painful and near death experience of my life. Immediately got diarrhea and a high fever. I spent 4 days and nights sweating profusely and using the restroom every hour. Worst experience I have ever had especially as a foreigner and not necessarily knowing what my options were. Thankfully my fiancé at the time and now wife forced me to go to the hospital after becoming delirious and speaking to her in English knowing full well she didn't understand. I almost died and I am sure it was all due to the peppered steak. Anyway, this is a warning more so to the restaurant owners. Shame on you if you knowingly served me spoiled meet and covered it with a thick layer of peppered sauce. If I could give this restaurant a...

Upon arrival, my family and friends of 7 were greeted with beautiful warm smiles. I forgot our waiter's name, but he was great. He had great recommendations and patience for a big group of people with kids. He recommended two appetizers. One is not on the menu. It's the meatball with red sauce and lots of melted cheese, and the second was a Polpetines Al Forno Pizza (warm flatbread with olive oil, and pico de gallo). Deliciousness. We each ordered drinks, and we were very happy. I ordered the Chinola Margarita on the Rocks. Wow. It was the best I had in Santiago, and I had many on my trip, lol. Then, we continued to order our entrees, everyone had different kinds of pasta dishes, and we each cleaned up our plates, too. We had a fantastic dinner and can't wait to...
Read moreLa Locanda was the best Italian Restaurant I visited while in Santiago. I was introduced by my stepdad and had to order to go while on our first visit cause they only had “Delivery-Take out” service due to the Covid precautions.
When they finally reopened the restaurants, we decided to come and eat in the restaurant. I ordered Carbonara both times because it was so good I had to have it again and it was as incredible and delicious as the first time. My boyfriend had Alfredo on both occasions and he loved it.
My stepdad is crazy about La Locanda, he loves it and would eat here every week if he could!
