I normally don't bother with reviews, even if not a totally satisfactory experience, but this is almost comical. Don't bother with this place, it is super expensive, it tries to be an upscale grill at least by the pricing and some of the menu items and fails miserably. It's in a small strip mall, which if you're trying to be in the price bracket of this restaurant is already a nope, no dedicated parking, a small parking, the facade is the one you can see in other reviews, the red one. It's constructed roughly out of simple sheet metal, glass, and plywood board. Seemingly spray painted red, judging by the overspray on the entrance tile (see picture). The interior is a horrible place to be in, a McDonald's is luxury in comparison. Again, fabricated sheet metal, bolts and glass with the same red paint. It would be fitting in a workshop. Cables for lighting routed externally with adhesive PVC ducting, the lamps zip tied to a pipe (refer to pictures), wireless Bose Bluetooth speakers (the ones you would buy at best buy for about $160) hanging from the ceiling with the power brick wiring hanging from the ceiling as well. Cheap cutlery, cheap plates, the wine glasses were decent ,the tables fast food joint style as well as the chairs and benches. I even made a little friend! (Small cockroach, see picture). And now for the food. Can't see why you would spend the money they ask for the more upscale items in a place like that, no reason to. I ordered a chicken breast because I couldn't be bothered, dry as a bone. A Mar y Tierra, not necessarily bad but definitely not worth the price they're asking. Octopus, a minute amount, again not worth the price. Chipirones, these were actually good. A bottle of wine, priced above competition. Water and bread. In conclusion, don't waste your money. If you want an upscale grill, look elsewhere because this ain't it. Avoid it all together actually....

Its a most Go place if you are in Sto.Dgo. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended. This restaurant seems to follow all safety, sanitation protocols I'm used too in the USA. Covid protocols in place. I can honestly say i fully enjoyed my meal today.... its Monday after DR lunch time...so not a busy time. However, its a most Go place if you are hungry and want good food. Its a steak and sea food restaurant, although, i only saw shrimp, and fish on the menu but any way i wanted steak. So, i have to say the sangria was amazing, the main plates are to share is desire but they big for one person, the Fideos aka angel hair, in olive oil and garlic was delicious, and the steak and shrimp have no words to describe at this moment, the Tostones, omg....everything cook to perfection, and yes sooooo tasteful beyond satisfaction. The service was great, friendly, fast and on point. Great ambiance, good soft music. Perfect for a romantic, business or just chill and talk with friends. Great wine selection but i highly recommend the Sangria...fresh nice awesome. Some may say it's pricey but i say is well worth it. Price is great for the quality you get from the food and service. Parking available. Entrance is right on the Simon...

Perfect Setting for Our Christmas Celebration!

Our recent Christmas party at Elizondo Restaurant was an absolute delight, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate the festive season with our colleagues. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was evident that Elizondo had everything in place to ensure our evening was filled with joy, laughter, and exceptional dining.

The staff at Elizondo were the true stars of the evening. The waitstaff was not only efficient but also courteous, going above and beyond to make sure each guest felt well taken care of. Their enthusiasm and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.

Now, let's talk about the food – an absolute highlight of our evening. Elizondo's culinary team showcased their expertise with a menu that exceeded our expectations. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor.

What a Great Meal !!! Went to this restaurant for their reviews and the look of their plates and it was just even better. Inviting and pleasant atmosphere. Helpful and accommodating staff, good job explaining their menus and how your plate will be prepared, very well trained. The food was just Delightful and so Good. The "Vieiras"(Scallops)were tender and juicy. The 'Pulpo Gallego"(Galician Octopus)was very special. The "Churrasco" was one of the best we being tried so far(including Argentinean, Colombian, Brazilian,Dominican, etc.)cooked and presented with passion. The "Camarones Gigantes"(Giant Shrimps)were just massive, but still moist and tender. Like they said:Biggest shrimps you will see in your life, hehehe. The "Arroz tipo risotto 8 quesos"(8 Cheese Risotto Rice)was light and flavorful. Their special "Mojo de Ajo"(Garlic Mojo)is just good with everything,so rich in complex flavors. Feel appreciated to see Mr Elizondo greeting patrons at their tables. Street and Valet parking on site. In the expensive side, but worth every single Dominican peso.
