My family and I visited the restaurant on Saturday July 15th in the early evening for dinner. First it was raining and there was water kind of everywhere on the floor which is understandable but then we were seated near a group of men who were quite a bit loud and one of the men was walking around and circling our table taking photos of the plants on the wall right next to us and of part of the art installation on the wall and just kept circling and taking the same photos over and over again which was not only weird but incredibly annoying as he circled our table. I don't know why this was permitted and these people allowed to disturb others as they were eating. 2.The service was not that great because we had to keep looking for the waiter if we needed something and we had three different people that would come to the table. 3.Finally, the food was kind of poor. The chicken that was used for the nachos had a bit of a sour taste to it, lacked a sufficient amount to ratio of chips, and no sour cream, the corn appetizer was ridiculously small. The photo that they show on Instagram makes the bowl look five times larger than it really is, the fish burrito did not have all the ingredients included in it which was stated on the menu, the traditional burrito was okay, and the steak plate was awful. I didn't even eat it and ended up taking it home but I should have complained about it and made them take it back. It was burnt and dry on top like leather, the 5 small pieces of steak under the topping was so chewy that it was not edible, and the vegetables were not cooked. They were hard and raw as can be.
Absolutely TERRIBLE meal and extremely disappointed that we wasted 5,000 pesos. We've eaten at their other location and the food was better but still not as high quality as they claim it to be.
I would really like the owner of the restaurant to contact me because this was a terrible experience and a complete waste of money. I'm also upset that no one from the restaurant comes over to check in to see if you need a drink, if the food is...
Read moreThis restaurant has the best mexican food in the Dominican Republic.
The menu could be bigger, but I was told that it was, however it's been simplified because of the pandemic, which is something that every restaurant has done.
I had the fish tacos, birria tacos, all salsas (could be spicier, but I get it (we) Dominicans aren't fans of spicy food. I also had the nchiladas suizas, reg. Margarita as well as the coconut one, my favorite.
The tacos are Mexico City Style; meaning, that they are smaller in size, but they have great flavour.
I will be returning soon to try the guacamole and more tacos, which I think are...
Read moreWouldn't call it a taqueria, it is more on the TexMex side of restaurants. It is missing the emblematic "trompo de pastor" on plain sight which you would find in any taqueria and helps make fresh cut out pastor tacos. Apart from this, the seasoning is pretty great but the spiciness (hotness) of the food is lacking specially in the salsa verde and roja, take into account salsas can have different levels of hotness. Additionally the cochinita is nowhere flavourful and sauceful as it should be, I found it dry and chewy. Lastly the staff is pretty nice and the atmosphere...
