Ecuador Coffee (Azaritah) — Restaurant in Alexandria

One of the very rare places in Alexandria where you can still find decent, friendly people presenting the service. I would really like to thank the team working there for their hospitality and professionalism.

Also the drinks are really, really good. I tried a dark hot chocolate and it was one of the tastiest I ever had. My friends also had other drinks and they were also raving about how good they were, so thank you!

The missing stars I had to take out under the atmosphere category is due to the fact that the place doesn't have a non-smokers section. Unfortunately it is something that you don't find much in Egypt, since the majority of people smoke and think it's cool, but it's still something that should be taken into consideration to protect those who don't smoke. I was sitting in the middle table with smoke flying all around me, and I was coughing heavily as I'm a bit asthmatic, which was the worst part.

Otherwise, highly recommended. I would even recommend it over multinational chains like Costa...

I was in Alexandria for a few days and visited Coffee three times. The atmosphere was great and the coffee was good. They sell coffee, and I bought three cans: espresso, cinnamon coffee, and hazelnut coffee for French press. I never checked the contents of the cans because I trust people. When I returned to Sweden and opened the cinnamon coffee, I was excited. The coffee looked a bit strange, but I still made it. It smelled like milk and also tasted like milk and sugar, with some brown powder that dissolved in the water. The hazelnut coffee was the same. The espresso coffee was okay and actually was coffee. I was fooled. How can they sell this to people? I was disappointed and angry. I contacted one of the waiters via WhatsApp. I wrote to him, but got no meaningful response. He was probably not involved in the scam. I just wanted someone there to know about it. If you buy something there, make sure to check the contents carefully. Unfortunately, you can’t trust everyone....

Update after one year of my old review which was 5stars. (It used to be my favorite coffee place, but unfortunately it’s not any more. They lost their good quality and the new stuff members are not friendly at all. )

The place is in great location, with a nice view over the Cornish.

I went there around 01:00 pm, it was full. I found an empty chair by the high table. The guests are mainly students and teens. But the place is not noisy.

The staff are so nice and welcoming. They play nice music. The AC is pretty good too.

I ordered one Cortado, it was good 4/5. I also ordered this amazing pistachio roll, it was so big and so tasty. 5/5 I couldn’t finish it, I took the rest to go. Both costed 91 egp.

The place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will definitely go there again to try...
