Misr Hotel — Hotel in Alexandria

Even if the staff is very helpful, friendly and polite the building should not even have a habitability permit because of the terrible conditions.||The hotel is located on 9th floor of an unsafe building. There are 3 elevators but just 1 is working, the door of the elevator is missing and the roof is a dump -so you could see the wall just passing by. Many floors of the building are abandoned and are also a dump. Since the elevator is not safe, we took the stairs and the stairs have a mountain of garbage and a deposit of old furniture and construction leftovers. The building is not safe neither from the structural point of view...

Not a bad spot to stay at. The entrance to the building can be rather gungy and the elevators are small and may be missing a door but on arrival to the lobby things pick-up nicely. Rooms are spacious and modern. Housekeeping could certainly improve but far better than many our Intrepid Tour Group were faced with earlier in the trip. Breakfast is OK if you like olives, cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, pitta bread and ONE cup of tea or coffee - any extra drink is added cost - weird indeed. Only one issue is the lack of heat during cold periods - so stock up on blankets if...

I visited this hotel on 10 th September 2024. Its located on 9th floor of very old building facing to the cornice. Rooms are small but clean. Staff was friendly but they ware unable to give room two hours prior to the check in time. We booked with breakfast but breakfast was not good and enough. It was full of Egypt dishes except few food items. Their black tea was perfect and tasty. Also you can find many fast food outlets nearby which include KFC, pizza...
