Fuego has been my go-to sushi place for years, even Maadi’s branch. But this year was my last time without even knowing. We were a party of 4, we ordered 2 sushi platters then dishes from the Grill menu. We requested chicken to be added to the Caesar salad but it came without it so -1 on the service. The sushi… 2 people kept complaining that the raw salmon was extremely bad but neither I nor my brother could feel it. Until I had one piece of one of my rolls.. I’m pretty sure it was the Geisha roll.. I got food poisoning & was sick for 4 days with a fever and horrible bathroom visits. It’s truly sad that a place like this suddenly loses its touch. However, I was disappointed at the customer service at this branch. They refused to do a booking for a large group, they refused to have several cheques, and they refused to accommodate how we wanted our food divided on plates. Then they told us they can't do these things because there are so mahy customers and they can't accommodate each one, which was a terrible way of basically saying "your requests are not important".
I'm also disappointed at Fuego's new offer, and the limitations they keep making. The final is removing Gunkan rolls from their 24 piece offer which doesn't make sense because it was there earlier this year.
Overall, I'm worried that Fuego is slipping and the reason is that its become so popular. They're not maintaining the same...
Read moreThe sushi were average quality not a wow. The place was nice and clean. The major problem that I faced was the way they deal with customers. They made me pay twice because they had a problem with their card reader. What is worse is that I was with my wife and newborn baby and they made me wait to check if the money was transferred or not. They were respectful and all but I told them more than once that it is okay they can have my number and call me if the money didn't appear "by the end of the date" but no you have to pay 1500 twice so we can be sure. That was so unprofessional and I could have said no but I didn't wanna cause problems for the one responsible.
I definitely wouldn't recommend the place and wouldn't go again except after they change this...
