Beware! They tried to scam us and are applying illegal taxes and charging methods.

First of all, they impose a 1,040 EGP minimum charge per person to enter. They say you can consume food and drink with the 1,000 and 40 pounds are for ‘administrative’ charges.

For every additional cost, the waiter insists you pay the extra, notwithstanding that we are still having a long night with friends and will continue to order more.

Paying the check was when the real shock occurred. They didn’t want to share the details of the charges, mentioning only that there is an additional 400 to pay. We insisted to see the details of the receipt, it is our right. After a long argument they came back with everything written ‘manually’ on a piece of paper, quoting the prices with additional 28% taxes. We asked why is it 28 when the service charge is 12% and VAT is 14%. They said the government takes 2% and this is extra. (On top, the menu states ‘the prices shown above are subject to the applicable taxes and service charge’ only - so they can charge whatever tax they want). For reference, this is illegal! They should show a certificate from the Ministry of Tourism to show if they’re even allowed to charge these taxes. They wouldn’t even print out an official receipt from the system. They know they are applying illegal practices.

In the end, we did a calculation using the mobile calculator and the charge should be 348.50 (with the additional 28% taxes). That was not 400 then. They charged our credit card 350. Even for a small difference in amount, the actual difference should be charged, not a ‘rounded up figure’.

Above all, the 2 waiters were extremely rude, raising their voices in anger and harassing my partner by constantly touching her arm. They treated us as ignorant people who should not be questioning their stated amount.

Wouldn't come back and can't recommend it. Bad and rude service and experience from start to finish. From the start, they asked for the male/female ratio for our group, and the Instagrams of ppl in our group even tho we were quite a large group. We got there on a Monday night and we were literally the only people in the ENTIRE place and they were still picky and rude, and even had the audacity to call us to complain about the male/female ratio of our group when it's literally only us in the entire group. Made the false and offensive claim that "we only recently started accepting this age group." Also refused to lower the music when we asked. Again, it's literally only us in the entire place. Staff is friendly and attentive Location is good and parking is available Food is decent, cocktails are all good But the music ruined it for me, this is by far the worst DJ I have ever heard in a while for an engagement party. Terrible mixing, terrible music selection, playing slap and tech house before we even gather, playing very outdated music, he simply had no style. The speakers are not well distributed, there should be speakers on top or next to the bar itself, the music was so loud during the warm up and somehow low during the peak, so it was a combination of a terrible dj and a terrible music management from ziya, would come again for the food, but will never bother to recommend anybody this place if they want to have a good dance.
