I recently celebrated my graduation at L'Uliveto, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary starter—freshly baked bread paired with a deliciously creamy tuna spread. It was a delightful way to begin the meal and set the tone for what was to come.
For the main course, we ordered the penne arrabbiata with shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the slight kick of spice made every bite rich and flavorful.
But the real star of the evening was the Italian pizza. The dough was thin, crispy, and incredibly fresh. Since it was a special occasion, they went the extra mile and made us a pizza with two different halves: one side was truffle funghi, earthy and aromatic, and the other was pastrami with cream cheese, which was indulgent and perfectly balanced. They even surprised us with a live pizza show, which added a magical, luxurious touch to the night. It was such a beautiful gesture that made me feel truly celebrated.
For drinks, we tried three different mocktails The Virgin Maimi was my absolute favorite—refreshing with the perfect hint of coconut.
The Egyptian Breeze was a bold and zesty choice, ideal for sour lovers, with a strong cinnamon note that stood out beautifully.
As someone who doesn’t usually enjoy hibiscus, I was pleasantly surprised by their hibiscus mocktail, it was flavorful and refreshing.
The atmosphere was simply lovely, with an elegant ambiance and a breathtaking view of the Nile that made the evening even more special. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and attentive—especially Peter, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He was professional, helpful, and added a personal touch to our experience.
In every way, L'Uliveto made my graduation celebration truly extraordinary. It felt warm, joyful, and full of little thoughtful surprises. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for great food, a beautiful setting, and a memorable experience. Thank you to everyone at L'Uliveto for making it a night I’ll never...
Read moreI recently had the experience of dining at the Italian restaurant L'Uliveto, inside Fairmont Nile Cairo, located on floor ,R’. Just arrived and get out from elevator I was literally ‘welcomed’ with an appealing collection of wonderful books laid out so beautifully for browsing on the round black marble table, which I did immediately.
After few steps I entered finally in the classic furnished Italian restaurant and took a table at the glass facade with Nile view.
Unfortunately, I have to admit that the service was not perfect. Before I waved politely, no one came to our table to greet us and introduce himself by name and to give us the menu and further information. It is usual that this happens automatically. Not so in L’Uliveto.
Lucky that we had already studied the extensive menu thoroughly before we decided we will dine at L'Uliveto so we quickly passed our selection to the waiter.
Antipasti 🇮🇹 ‘Burrata’ with mini tomatoes, roasted peppers and arugula and ‘Calamari Fritti’ with tomato relish, baby greens, homemade sweet garlic. I have to admit both were very successful .
Our choice for ‚Primi 🇮🇹‘ was ‚‘Penne Arabiatta’ with shrimp, in traditional arabiatta sauce, which was extremely tasty, but ınly have to served warmer. Unfortunately we didn't have any more space for the 'Secondo 🇮🇹'.
As of today I can share the review with the community as recorded. I will visit L’Uliveto soon again because Italian cuisine is not just for the moment, it’s for the whole life and as the menu of L’Uliveto attracts me so far with it’s very wide selection a further culinary discovery is a must.

Read moreHonestly, I was planning to write some heartfelt feedback but as I'm writing this I realized that the experience was beautifully indescribable. Everything about this restaurant is incredible. The food was scrumptious. It was cooked to perfection that it literally made us melt. Even the complementary Italian bakery, they were light yet very tasty and satisfying. We had pizza and pasta which were topnotch. For example, Margherita is supposed to be some basic pizza but over there, it's heavenly. The portions are very generous and the prices are unbelievably handy. So it has it all: quality, quantity and great value for money. The staff is also exceedingly hospitable. Especially Mr. Sameh who was warm and friendly, yet very professional. He didn't rest until he made sure that we're being well-taken care of. Even the simplest details like the ambience and the interior of the restaurant: they were very cozy yet fancy. And excuse me for dwelling onto something less important, but it's very essential to me, as it helps setting off the vibe: the music playlist of the restaurant was obviously meticulously picked. There is not one bad/loud/noisy song. A mixture of classic music and contemporary calm songs that were the perfect match with the mouth-watering food and the breathtaking view of the Nile that get you cloud 9. Overall, this place is just the right amount of luxury and comfort. I LOVED IT!! And I'm beyond thrilled with my experience. Do yourself, your soul and wallet a favor and pay this restaurant a visit.
