Porta D'oro — Restaurant in New Cairo City

Inspite of the fact that I enjoy going to the Dokki branch of Porta D'oro, I had a lousy experience with their tagamo3 branch yesterday. The person who took our order is unprofessional. The quality of food is another story. The cream of mushroom soup was a big flop. At first it was served with big clots of flour and after we called the waiter he said that wasn't whisked enough!!. It came back with the same problem and we returned it. The salmon wasn't well marinated and tastless. The pasta with salmon had the same problem. So apparently the chef wasn't present on that day. Moreover they forgot to serve our appetizers and drinks until I reminded them. Funnily the waiter came to ask if we wanted the appetizer after they served the meals without evening appologizing for their negligence. I would suggest that the management pay more attention to training their stuff at least to know that the drinks should be served first followed by soup and appetizers then the meals. Moreover they have to appologize for their mistakes. I personally complained to the manager who didnt even apologize for these mistaked. Very disappointing experience and we will definitely not go back...

Very bad experience, will never go there again. Unprofessional service and food presentation. Food is horrible, Appetizers (Mozzarella sticks) are prepared directly from frozen brands like Olio Brand! Soup will be more tasty if cooked at home Meat (steak) very poor quality! The food is tasty, the ingredients are of high quality. Their lasagna is delicious and special, you can add their unique harissa sauce to it if you prefer spicy food. Other pasta dishes are also good. Their pizza is good but not as great as their pastas, the dough is good but the overall pizza is not great. Their risotto is just below average. Overall the food is very good and the location is great, the service however is very poor, the waiters are very decent but are not trained at all, and the manager is not on...
