Fares Seafood Genena City — Restaurant in South Sinai

We went there looking for nice grilled seafood, when we arrived the guy at the entrance directly took us to the fish shop they have at the entrance and insisted a lot in us to order fish (he suggested the most expensive ones ofc) and to order a lot of anything we wanted. He never explained how this place works or the price per gram. We had to check in the menu and it was not clear if the price was for a piece, for a kg, for a gram or nothing. We felt very uneasy and when we asked if there was a menu to order food directly, they told us to order from the fresh fish shop selecting the pieces. At some point we saw two other people going directly inside, sitting and ordering from a different menu. We cancelled all the fresh fish and seafood the guy was insisting us to order, and we order from the menu inside instead. We paid 1200 Egyptian pounds (21$) for a 3 dishes and 1 drink. If we would have followed their suggestions we would have paid much more. Very disgusted for the prior attempt to scam us. They even asked if we wanted to give a 10$ tip that we of course refused. Beautiful place, but the shrimp nearly killed me!! It was terrible, I hadn’t eaten for many hours so I ate it reluctantly. When I got back to the hotel, I barely made it to the bathroom because I had explosive diarrhea. I filled up the toilet. I was in so much pain. I bent over and fell off the toilet and the diarrhea squirted everywhere on the ceiling on the shower glass door on the cabinet, the whole bathroom was covered in diarrhea. I had to go to the hospital when I got there. It was running down my legs on the doctors peeled my shorts off and was checking out the situation. The doctor got hit with my diarrhea all over the front of his face started running down his uniform. He immediately started vomiting. The nurse next to him hurled over and started vomiting as well. The order they walked in and immediately slipped in the vomit and diarrhea. He landed face first in it, and he immediately started vomiting. It took 12 doctors to fix me that night. Don't order the sea bass. My wife and I were disappointed after reading all the stellar reviews. Waiter steered us away from most of the menu saying it was all frozen fish and no good. Had to get the fresh fish sold by the kilo. Why not get a combo with just a little lobster, .. $40 a kilo. Ok, so just a little lobster and a little salmon. He quotes me $98, We were not that hungry. So my wife wanted to try the sea bass instead at 220 Egyptian pounds per kilo. We requested about a kilo or less, but of course the bill showed a much bigger fish. It was huge, enough for 4 people.They also brought double portions of rice and salad and charged us for that after I very cleary requested just one portion. So our meal was still $50 bucks and I felt a little ripped off. I realize this is a tourist place, and I wouldn't have come here except it was recommended to me.
