Well that was very underwhelming, I think everyone from England will know what I mean by me saying I have found the weatherspoons of Sharm el sheikh.. the place looks nice when you walk through it, and seems popular for parties and birthdays.. and no alcohol served here unless you buy it from a shop down stairs so I guess you could call it kid friendly.. but.. As soon as we started to order it went down hill from there… we ordered still water and mint tea.. they got that wrong… sparkling water turned up and the mint tea tasted like normal tea.. after waiting to asking them to change the water and the tea they tried to tell me I was wrong and it was mint tea.. I looked in and it was the smallest limp stick of mint that had no smell let alone taste of mint.. then they bought out complementary dips with no clue what they were but after trying them it tasted stale and flavourless, so we asked them to take it way.. then our steaks turned up, the presentation was very nice , but that seemed to be all on the surface, it was bland and the meat had no seasoning or beef flavour to it.. the only thing that tasted good was the sauce that it was drenched in to hide the meat.. . So in conclusion , high price for standard food. The complementary freebies were not added to the bill, which was a nice surprise . the seafood looked nice on other tables but did see a lot left over so not sure if they were impressed either. After a long day of navigating some less-than-genuine tour offers in Sharm El Sheikh, I was a bit wary when I stepped into Mahony, a seafood restaurant that seemed well-established. To my pleasant surprise, it turned out to be an excellent choice!

The value for money here is outstanding. I started with the seafood soup, which was an absolute 10/10, bursting with flavor. Then came the grilled fish, which was so massive I had to zoom out my phone camera to 0.75x to capture it all! They even offered complimentary tahini, which was a nice touch.

The service was exceptional, and a special shoutout to Abdullah, who served me with great attention to detail. His genuine care for the customer’s experience made all the difference.

To be clear, this is not a "forced" review (especially after dealing with some pushy tours). It's an honest reflection of a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is also lovely, with a natural vibe, though the artificial bird sounds can get a bit loud at times—perhaps just part of the Egyptian charm.

They don’t serve alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring your own, which I found to be a nice compromise. I had hoped to try more dishes, but the portions were so generous I was completely full!

A late review for the best fish restaurant in Egypt, not just Sharm El Sheikh

Firstly i can talk about the place and how wonderful and cozy it is, the decor is so special that you are separated from the inner world as soon as you enter it, they have a tropical atmosphere and the sounds of the canaries are beautifully spread out

After that, i can't describe how good the food was I have never tasted seafood this good anywhere else We wanted to thank the chef very much and the staff there is very helpful and doesn't make you need anything cause they are skilled at their work Above all, the owner of the restaurant who welcomes you with pleasure and follows up with you constantly

I went there with my family at the beginning of 2023, and we all enjoyed it and we are waiting to travel again to repeat the experience

My mother went alone a few weeks ago to visit the place and repeat the wonderful experience by herself, the restaurant owner was generous enough to remember her and give her a big gift. We are very thankful to him for his treatment that day
