VIVA Beach & Restaurant — Local services in South Sinai

Nice small private beach, I had access included from my hotel. Cocktails are a little too strong, ambience is nice and calm and the food we tried was delicious to be fair, although a bit expensive. The personal was very friendly but there are two things we didn't like: We had 20% off as guest from our hotel. I had to ask for the discount, otherwise the would have charge the full price. And they wanted to make only a 10% discount, I had to remind them that according to the hotel the discount was 20% so they reluctantly agreed. The next day we came back for dinner since we enjoyed the food a lot (specially the grilled seafood), the owner apologized for "the misunderstanding" about the discount the previous day and he assured us that the staff is aware now. At the end they indeed applied the 20% discount this time, but also extra charges for service and taxes that were not included or mentioned in the menu (and they didn't add last time) were added, so in the end the bill was effectively a little bit more expensive than the menu prices even with the discount. The place is awful, the people who works there worst. They probably work with some hotels as well, the place is always overcrowded and they normally have you sharing the umbrella with other people. The sun-bed are at least 20 years old, all ruined. The boss (not sure if he is the owner or a manager) is very arrogant and he always try to scam you. He probably teaches the some to his staff. He tried to still two towels from me, we left them on the sun-bed and we went for lunch, we come back after 35 minutes and the were gone. I so mu towels at the reception and he pretended they were theirs. We got them back at the end but it wasn’t a nice situation. Even with the food and beverage they always try to scam you, they show you a menu with the price but the bill is always different from what is should be. I would not recommend this place. RESTAURANT REVIEW ONLY:

1. Location. Place is located by the beach near the sea, you can even see it at night.

2. Atmosphere. Unlike most restaurant in this part of Naama Bay, this one don't torture you with trashy Russian pop. The whole time some basic and well known english songs was playing quietly on background so we enjoyed the atmosphere.

3. Food. We ordered two main courses for two adults — chicken curry and black pepper steaks. They all come with rice and fries. But even with all this stuff it is not enough to saturate ones. Curry was not spicy at all, however steaks and sauce was good. So it really depends on dish you order. Btw, they don't serve water here so as a drink you will have to order smth like tea or coffee.

4. Prices. Prices were super mediocre, we left around 400 pounds here. But for the food we got I wouldn't pay...
