Al Pomodoro — Restaurant in San Salvador

Food it's amazing, they have a wide selection on Wine. The taste, the presentation of the food and every single bite was amazing, on this occasion I ordered a 4 cheese pizza with extra shrimps the size was just it good enough for one person. Also, the desserts are just great they have a cup made of Nutella and mix with cheesecake you can't even believe what you are eating, Location it's also amazing, it's a great place to have a romantic date or even to have a formal dinner. I spent about three hours and personnel was great on every moment during hour time there, they were courteous and were giving us advise about what to order their suggestion were just amazing. They locate as well some promotions especially on drinks, they have one specific wine selection on discount or they may have also promotions on beers, it doesn’t matter the day you will be visiting them, they will make sure your meal will be unforgettable and of course you will be willing to come back a second and a third time around. This place is rather quaint and very nice atmosphere, but the food is not very authentic Italian, although it is good, just don’t expect the high end Italian you would get in the states. I would call it “Italian-esque”

The biggest complaint is that three out of four main dishes that we ordered came fairly cold. They had been sitting out for a while, none of them were hot. All of us ordered some form of steak, and as in any Italian restaurant we thought it was standard to get pasta as a side. Not here, so I’m not sure if that is customary here in El Salvador or just at this place. There was a small side of julienned veggies that came with the dish but nothing that would fill you up or be considered a good portion, more as decoration really.

Our service was phenomenal, so I’m surprised to see the bad reviews on that. This place is not bad but there is an Italian restaurant at Bambu City Center that I rather go to if I’m going to pay for “not bad.” Worth a try once but I’m...

On this day my wife and I visited the restaurant, we arrived on a saturday at 2pm and observed a few people eating at the restaurant, we were seated immediately. Jose our waiter was nice and accomodating. we ordered an entrée of bread,cheese and mushrooms, it was a great choice to our taste. Then Jonathan our new waiter delivered our main dish, my wife had the angel hair pasta with a white wine sauce and I had the mushroom ravioli with 3 cheese and mushroom sauce, we both agreed that the ravioli was the best of the two dishes. But even the great tasting dishes did not compare to Jonathan and his very entertaining personality, he is a great embassador for the restaurant. He loves his job and the owner of the restaurant, he kept telling us how he was so happy to be working for the Lady and the customers that made the location a staple to their routine.
