El Lomo y La Aguja • Zona Rosa — Restaurant in San Salvador

I was told the place was a good Steak House so I decided to take my son there for fis birthday and invited my family. We were 8 in total. Ordered food and drinks and unfortunately most of the steaks came cold, it looked like they were sitting there for a while, while the taste was ok I had to return most of them and ask to have them changed. A few minutes later they came back, same steaks but now they were warm, now interesting enough, being the same cuts, they were no longer cooked as desired, now they were overcooked. We ended up eating them like that to avoid complaining more but it was unacceptable. We ordered wine and they brought and opened the incorrect bottle without verifying with us first, that one they took back and brought the correct one. I wasn't surprised nor impressed with the experience, service or the food. Upon paying we told the person about our observations including the fact that it was my son's birthday and even though we mentioned 4 times, no one at the restaurant cared to acknowledge. We heard them cheering other people but my son got nothing. The server came back and apologized and tried to give me a "courtesy" for my son but he was gone already, what good was it? I didn't accept it. We paid and left, no " bell" for the restaurant, definitely a must improve experience for them and a "I'm not sure I want to come back to this restaurant again" for me. Worth the visit for the price. This is a good steak place in the heart of Zona Rosa. In a safe area with not too complicated of parking. Prices range front the teens to the twenties. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were under a fan, asked to turn it off and they took care of it. The only reason they did not receive five stars, was because service was lacking in the important areas. One dish took longer than the others to be delivered to the table. But it didn't really matter because we were missing our cutlery. Also, the kids meal included a drink but we had to ask for it about half way through eating because they didn't give it to us. Unfortunately the food was not as I expected. Place is like a chili's in San Salvador for Steaks.

I ordered the 12 Oz Ribeye, had no taste, no seasoning. Also wasn't cooked to the right temperature.

Solomon was dry and hard.

Service needs significant improvement. Waiter could not understand taking orders from us and kept asking and repeatedly trying to get our orders after saying it like 3 times.
